"I booked the Novotel months ago, this was changed to the Mercure but not by me weeks ago. I received the customary welcome email 24 hours before from the Mercure. I arrived at my hotel and wasn’t able to gain entry - eventually someone arrived to say I’d be transferred to The Novotel. On arrival at The Novotel I explained the position and quite frankly the reception staff weren’t interested - no comment and no apology. "Very close to Railway station so we did get noise of the trains. Lovely views of the canal, friendly staff lovely food. I noticed that the outside heaters were all on despite no people present could they be on a timer that peolpe could press? Second time we have visited both times we came by train just take the exit gate near platfrom 17. "
