Beautiful country hotel on outskirts of West Londo

Posted 02-Aug-2017
We have stayed at this hotel a number of times the most recent being this July 2017. Situate in an historic country house it has been very sympathetically extended to make it a large conference and event hotel with spa facilities and a championship golf course. The design and decor of the old part of the hotel and the new is modern, interesting and highly complimentary of each other. The landscaped gardens which surround all parts of the hotel are nothing short of outstanding. There are three restaurant options onsite all of which are worth a visit. There are three reasons why I have given this hotel a four star review. First the size of the hotel now and the fact that it has major banqueting and conference facilities means the hotel can sometimes, particularly in the spa/pool area, be quite busy and crowded. I suppose however that one buys into this when booking this hotel. Secondly the service at breakfast on both the mornings that we stayed this time was quite poor compared with the superb service that we received from staff elsewhere and the buffet style food offering (although chefs were standing by to cook eggs) was not of a five star quality. Thirdly there is no turn down service in the evening which one would expect in a five star hotel. Overall this is a superb hotel with great decor, lovely bar and guest areas

Luxury hotel

Posted 17-Jul-2017
Pros: Food is excellent. Facilities are also very good
Cons: Better coffee
A small thing but for an hotel of this price the coffee at breakfast was virtually tasteless. The Ladies toilet in the Spa changing rooms was broken. Extended our stay direct with hotel and their rate was far higher than yours.

Tranquil and peaceful hotel with lots of greenery

Posted 23-May-2017
Pros: It is quiet and clean with extremely professional & friendly staff. Very nice setting with a golf course and plenty of nice walks outdoors
Cons: restaurant / bar timings could be better. For such a quiet property breakfast can get pretty busy.
Location: Quiet and tranquil setting with lots of wide open spaces. Not close to public transport and no facilities within walking distance.
Stayed for four nights and thoroughly enjoyed the stay there. Friendly staff and facilities are excellent with well maintained grounds and gardens. Nice spot to get away from the hustle and bustle yet be relatively close to London.

Luxurious hotel with a 4 star room

Posted 01-Mar-2017 on Hotels
Having been to the Grove many times for dining I was excited to stay overnight for the first time. Everything about our stay and experience was perfect but the premium room in the west wing stayed in is dated and could do with updating to match the elegance and luxury of the rest of the hotel.

Lovely setting, good room & food. Excellent staff.

Posted 23-Feb-2017
Pros: Great staff complementing luxurious environment and super facilities.
Cons: Need more than two restaurant options at this grade of hotel. A small pub style restaurant and a buffet (albeit an exceptional one) is not sufficient.
Location: Convenient for London and major travel hubs.
Lovely relaxing stay, made special as much by the excellent staff across the board as the facilities, setting and so on.

Very close to attractions in the local area. Great luggage and valet service, friendly and knowledgable staff giving great tips on how to get the best out of your stay- especially Jack who was at the door and opened my car door on arrival and was outside with a very friendly and fabulous temperament even thought it was absolutely freezing outside! Mention for Dave in the Stables restaurant and zoltan the golf cart driver- never had a 2 min driving experience like it but added laughter to the evening. Topped off by breakfast in our room and trip to the spa!

Unbelievable hotel

I booked this hotel cause I wanted something really nice for my missus for her birthday, we couldn't have been happier. Brilliant hotel, very nice food. The bed was a little harder than we are used to but everything was great! Close to the train station too!
