"Everyone was really helpful. A little tired in public areas would be only issue. We had a problem regulating the temperature in the shower, but they allowed us to use another unoccupied room to have our showers. Breakfast was great quality and taste."

"Lovely hotel, our room, although a little dated was a great size, large balcony, wonderful views. We had a full bathroom which was perfect and also plenty of tea, coffee and milk not like a lot of fancy hotels where you just get two milk cartons. Staff were very helpful. Breakfast had a good selection."

"Hotel is quite nice for an old place but could do with a bit of TLC and some modernisation. However, the room was clean and comfortable (apart from the pillows which were like flagstones 😖) and there’s plenty of parking space. I got an attic style room and if I had a pound for every time I cracked my head on a ceiling beam, I’d have about £17 by now. The WiFi is poor and slow in room 302 but gets a bit faster when you’re in the bar area 🤔. The gym facilities were pretty good and the pool looked good too. I work all over the country, usually staying in 2/3 different hotels per week, and this one achieved the UK record for the most expensive pint of soda & lime I ever encountered 😳 £6.30!!! What a rip off!!! I don’t mind paying that (or quite often more than that) for a pint of lager, but for soda water and a splash of lime cordial …. that takes the biscuit … so much so that they didn’t get another penny out of me during my stay. I’d normally stay in the hotel for dinner and a few evening drinks but any establishment will only rip me off once, so I went out to spend my (company expenses) money elsewhere instead 👍 Needless to say there will be no return visit from me. "

"We had a room on top floor which was very comfortable. Good cooked breakfast with buffet continental . Parking at rear of hotel was handy £10 extra. Would use again. Staff great."

Property was charming and very elegant inside and beautifully decorated especially breakfast room. Decent meal first night and some live entertainment with piano. Staff all round really good and friendly and helpful. Would definitely return here for sure. Cheap parking for £2.50 a day through reception aswell and plenty of it around the hotel roads"
