The View Hotel

"I’m a regular and the view hotel and it’s awesome. Staff get to know you always friendly. Good gym too. Bar staff are great but please add new food options though. It’s been the same for years. Breakfast is incredible as are the staff they’re very funny and extremely helpful. Many thanks"
Majestic Hotel Eastbourne by Belvilla

"It looked like it was decorated in the 1990s and probably looked fantastic back then. It was dated and shabby. There was a feel of a horror film when we arrived. However, the breakfast was tasty. Staff were really helpful although for such a large place they had few staff. It was a bit lifeless with the bar not being open, we had to have a hot drink in our room. Unfortunately, the rooms were like saunas even with opening windows. Everything was clean but a bit run down. I think the price was reasonable for the experience and location. I would book again. Cheap and cheerful."

"Absolutely stunning property with an extraordinary view of the sea. Absolutely superb staff going the extra mile to help out. The breakfast buffet was an awesome added extra 😍 will definitely visit again! The view is amazing from the room with a balcony"

"This is a very comfortable, well located hotel but they are short staffed. We had to wait with a few others to check in and wait to check our as there was no one on reception. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the breakfast was good."
Flackley Ash Country House Hotel

"Staff were lovely Breakfast and Dinner delicious The swimming pool was really nice I didn’t get to use any of the Spa facilities so cannot comment. The only down side was that we couldn’t close the bathroom door as it kept jamming and the view from room 51 is messy brambles and over grown hedge but the bird song was good from the rustic setting and I would rather that than noise from other guests so 98% perfect room. I would certainly return."

"It is difficult to find fault with this hotel. Parking space is extensive and adjacent to the bulding. The quality and condition of the accommodation, recreational facilities and catering is excellent. The staff are particularly friendly and helpful."
Best Western York House Hotel

"Nice hotel. A little dated here and there but still lovely. Staff very helpful. Parking is free on side road or behind hotel (no parking restrictions) or if you get a space out the front you can ask for a £2.50 parking permit for the day. Pool nice just a little small. All in all a good stay"
Cavendish Hotel

"It's a grand old building - and some of the public areas downstairs are nicely done, and look great. Big and spacious reception/foyer and bar area as well (Didn't use the restaurant). The room was a good size, and a decent price - but as wih many of these big, old properties, it's worn & tired. It was cleaned well, and plenty of space."
