We absolutely loved it here. My mum has cancer and we wanted to spend some quality time with her. The staff did not know she was poorly but their care and energy to try to help us with any request was always carried out with enthusiasm. We had a family room, a double bed and two singles. The room was very clean and just as one would expect. We had a fantastic sea view and 3 chairs in the room. We asked for a small table so we could put our teas and coffee which they provided in the room in front of us as we looked at the sea. They got us a table. Great it was the reason we booked a sea view as mum loves the sea and wanted to sit and look at it. My sister and I went for a swim while mum had a sleep. We asked for a restaurant nearby we could go to and we were given information with a smile. As the hotel was busy in the dining room we asked if we could have breakfast in the bar. Again this was no trouble and when we came down in the morning our table was laid. We asked for some water in jugs for the evening and some ice. Again they were brilliant. The staff were fabulous, polite, courteous and kind. Not once did we feel anything was too much. We asked for extra toilet roll and some more tea, again it arrived with a smile. Such kindness from everyone. I would definitely recommend this hotel. I would love to go back again sometime. Mum loved her time here thank you to you all for making my mum's visit so memorable.

Far the worst hotel we stayed in UK. The room we had was not even advertised, we expected that the rooms will be completely different from what we got. There was no view whatsoever from the window. We booked two days before we arrived and paid a lot of money for what we actually found on site. The hotel is very old, wasn't refurbished, it's like we went back in time a hundred years. They also have a pool which we couldn't use as the water didn't seem to be changed for a while. Also we paid £13/pers for breakfast which was not edible, couldn't eat anything. They have very poor choices of breakfast, literally English breakfast, some croissants, yogurt and some cereals. The glasses provided for orange juice were utterly unacceptable, as if they were used for 10 years without being changed. Couldn't drink from that glasses, it made me sick. The other morning we had some porridge, as we thought what could go wrong with so we decided that this could be a bit more edible, which was slightly better but I found hair in it...disgusting. All this food was served in a dining room which smelled like a very old room, with patches of ripped carpet sealed with duct tape, which also gave us a feeling of extremely bad quality of visual evidence. Overall the staff was okay, and the bed was comfortable. Those are the only positive things we experienced in the hotel. The rest of the hotel, as I previously mentioned, was very old and been there probably for many years. Avoid this hotel at any cost

Stayed 3 nights early September with my partner, the hotel is looking very tatty, tired and in desperate need of renovation throughout. The carpets are worn threadbare, the walls are damaged, our room was very small with the bathroom so tiny it could not have been built any smaller, also had loose fittings. In addition, the mains power would cut out daily and had to contact reception to get the power restored. The view from the room’s window was of a grubby flat roof and drain pipes. We avoided the restaurant as the menu did not appeal and food served looked and smelt institutional. All in all, very unpleasant and not value for money so cannot recommend.

The is impressive from the outside and the reception and staff are very helpful. There's a lift to all 3 floors which is great but once out of the main area it starts to look just a little care worn, the carpets are clean but thread bare in places and it's obvious it hasn't had an upgrade in a few years. I stayed with my teenage daughter in a double room which, as we are seasoned travellers,was adequate, we use our rooms as a base not to stay in all day. The room wasn't very large and it had 1 small window facing to the back of the hotel that had no real view at all, just back yards and pidgeons who like to perch just outside and poop on the glass! All very dirty but equally hard to get at to be fair. The bed was nicely made up and the room decor a bit dated but the mattress was not the best and the pillows were very soft. The bathroom was good with all the usual bits, bath with over bath shower, toilet and sink. Toiletries provided and the other towels were in the wardrobe. There were tea and coffee making facilities and thankfully as the room didn't have any form of air conditioning a fan which we had on all the time we were in the room. The very best part about the hotel and this part gets them a 10, were the restaurant staff who sorted out an amazing breakfast every morning and ran the restaurant in the evening. They were helpful, and smiling all the time and nothing was ever to much trouble. Young and vibrant they gave the hotel some real life. Well done guys.
