Room excellent - as expected for the price and area very pretty and historic. Business visit but within walkable distance to Wantage via pathway pleasant countryside. Pub nice - menu mostly outside of our business allowance limitations.

Friendliness of the staff. Our evening meal and breakfast were of a high standard. Felt we were treated personally rather than just another guest. Our room had everything we needed. Perhaps my only slight criticism would be that we were overlooked from houses and the gardens so had to have the blind down all of the time.

2nd stay at this really pleasant pub with rooms in a pretty village. Food is particularly good - both dinner and interesting breakfast options that go above and beyond the standard fare that is usually on offer. Room was pleasant - bit quirky - but well furnished. Will definitely stay here again when in the area

Great stay when walking The Ridgeway
Wonderful pub with comfy rooms. Lively atmosphere and delicious dinner. We were walking The Ridgeway and just arrived with our backpacks! Definitely a great stop on the walk.

It is charming with good food. If you stay on an attic room you need to be careful when you get out of bed as beams are quite low. The rooms are lovely and well appointed

An outstanding "gastro-pub" in the country.
We lived in this village a half century ago and this was a typical country pub. Now it is a very up scale "gastro-pub'. The food was superb and very reasonably priced. Ths staff couildn't have been more accomodating. My only criticism would be that the rooms are very compact - not unusual in England. The inn is on the main street of the village - one of the most attractive in England and the pub has created excellent footpath maps of the surrounding countryside.

A lovely place to stay
Great place in racehorse training country. Breakfast and dinner excellent. Room great although ours looked onto pub garden which was raised in places so a bit nervous of privacy-kept blinds drawn. Noisy stairs door made wardrobe and pictures rattle. So go for room at front. Overall though a great place to stay. Staff friendly and welcoming.

The staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. The food was excellent, delicious and well oresented. Lovely comfy bed and large fluffy towels. Stairs are quite steep.

Superb Hotel
This is a superb stop in rural South Oxfordshire, and I thoroughly recommend it. The surrounding area is lovely. The pub is well stocked with fine beers, and the food is only a little short of Michelin quality.

Enjoyable Visit
Have a great stay. Staff were very attentive and the customer service was excellent. The evening meal and the breakfast were of a very high standard. I would definitely recommend the Greyhound Inn

A comfortable spot to stay in Oxfordshire
Another warm and welcoming stay at The Greyhound. We’ve already booked for our return back to the U.K. after a short trip to Cyprus. The team made either side of our holiday very relaxing and even took receipt of our Day 2 test package. Highly recommended.

A great welcome
Lovely old village pub that has been transformed into an exceptional gastro-pub with very comfortable rooms. Staircases in a medieval building are a bit of a challenge!! We were welcomed and made to feel at home as soon as we arrived.

Highly rated! The Greyhound is a real classic of a country pub with rooms to suit the personality of the building. Breakfast is absolutely top notch, room clean as you like, bed lovely and comfortable and an excellent shower. I am a keen amateur road cyclist and there is plenty to enjoy in the local area Hugely impressed. Would stay again.
