"Purdy lodge is an older property but is well maintained and kept clean and fresh. Don't let the main road put you off, we didn’t hear any road noise as the rooms are facing the beautiful scenery at the back. Look out for the wonderful wild hares, bouncing around the fields. A joy to see. The staff were all lovely, friendly and helpful and the breakfast and evening meal were top notch. We will stay here again next time we’re in the area."

Great location for castle and town: beautiful location, and very modern building behind the street frontage. Dinner was good. Service excellent. Wish I had booked more nights. Oh, and BTW, the smell of the hand and shower soap was phenomenal."

"We stayed here around 8 years ago and when we decided to visit Alnmouth again we had no hesitation in booking here again. The hotel is modern, well decorated and the rooms very comfortable. The price was very reasonable and the fact that dogs stay free was a great bonus. Best of all were the staff, friendly and helpful, we would definitely stay here again. Parking may be an issue but we managed to find on a free on street space each day. "
