Well organised reception, gave an upgrade to balcony room, overlooking Danube. Hotel facilities (pools and therapy provision) very good. The resteraunt is massive and the buffet dinner is the best I have experienced in some time. The cost I have not experienced before, I mean this place is serving 5 star food for McDonalds prices.
Staff very attentive and helpful. Humour can be lost in translation. I guess it will take a couple of generations to remove the communist attitude.
All in all apart from an experience of the Schercerny Baths which was very disappointing ( smelly, dirty and terrible toilets) out first trip to Budapest was good. We will probable go back.
THe hotel staff were lovely. Aside from the breakfast older male staff member who snickered when I asked him to take a photograph (and he took 1 fuzzy one at that!).
The location is pretty good.
The pillows are comfortable
The airconditioning is noisy and not cold enough
The bed smells funny.
The toiletries are not great. There is no conditioner, no shaving kit, no shower cap, toothbrush etc etc.
There is no complimentary water
The toiletries are stocked not daily.
I found a cockroach in my bathroom, after calling front desk I was told that they would come upstairs to check the room. 20minutes of waiting later I called again. THe lady said she was "too busy" to check and apologized. After flying for 16 hours I was pretty disappointed overall with NH.

Spent a night just wanted to be closer to town center and fully surprised by this cheap and very centralised hotel. Room is clean and spacious, everything is within walking distance. Highly recommended to those who like to stroll around city center.

"Great hotel in a nice area on the edge of the city"
Cracking Aparthotel..... Lovely room upgrade, staff helpful, spotlessly clean- only niggle is beds were too firm for me but that's just a personal choice for me.
Aldi near by and very reasonably priced.
Staff left a box if Hungarian chocks in our room for hubby's birthday which was a lovely touch and appreciated.
Would probably go back. Very reasonably priced.
We were very happy with this hotel regarding the price and it's close proximity to transport, restaurants, bars and to the beautiful Danube River. The staff at the front desk were very helpful and spoke good English. The breakfast was good and did the job for our start to the day.
I'd never experienced staying on a boat hotel before, my sister's Spanish name is Fortuna, and I guess I just tend to be drawn to the water, so it seemed an interesting thing to do in a city I'd never been in before. The staff were helpful, breakfast was decent, and the fridge was stocked with a decent selection of drinks and snacks. It's a cozy/no frills type of place, which is what I look for typically. It's not in central Budapest (minimal after-hours noise a plus), so plan on some extra walking unless you rent a bicycle. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again when/if i visit the city again, as i hope to.
Fantastic base for a trip to Budapest. Lovely apartment with good facilities for cooking like a local if the mood takes you or just for preparing breakfast. The host/owner gave us excellent guidance to get the most out of our 5 days. Easy access to an excellent/cheap to use transport system including getting to and from the airport. Thoroughly recommend the place. Had superb meals at 'Menza' and 'Asztalfoglalas' (which is a few streets down towards the Danube from the apartment. All in all a lovely holiday with plenty to see and do!

This B&B reflects the feeling of grandeur that the beautiful architecture of Budapest demonstrates. It is within walking distance of all attractions and is situated near some fabulous restaurants. Breakfast is plentiful, fresh and delicious. Our room was spacious, immaculately clean and warm. Our host Attila could not be more interesting to talk to nor more helpful when it came to discussing what there is to see. He booked a shuttle bus to the airport and a meal in a restaurant on our behalf. We also had a fascinating discussion about the history of Budapest. I thoroughly recommend this B&B as a quirky, comfortable alternative to run of the mill hotels.
