Our superior room was spacious with four large windows, soaring ceilings, and modern lounge furniture. The hotel in Pest is well located a block from the Danube, a block from a market and the longest pedestrian shopping street in town, and handy to many attractions. Triple windows made the room quiet despite the traffic outside.
We loved the Budapest Panorama Central, largely for its proximity to historical sites, transportation, restaurants, bars, and shopping. The staff was great, and always available -- even to come to our room to explain the TV. The room was clean and organized, with high ceilings and a large window that opened to the courtyard. The bathroom was new and had a great shower. The furniture and closets were fine. There was good reading lighting, sufficient towels/soap/shampoo, a good hair dryer, and the TV worked fine. Don't let the funky looking front exterior make you wary -- it added to the charm! And while the elevator was small and "old" looking, it worked every time!

Good location, very helpful staff and nice clean room. Would class more as an upmarket hostel rather than a hotel as no hotel facilities as such. It is just a building with 6 bedrooms but no other facilities. Breakfast vouchers are provided for a bar a 5 to 10 minute walk away and the food there was good. I had read on trip advisor that the hotel is quite hard to find although our taxi found it straight away. There is no large sign with the hotel name and the enter through a very large wooden door and on entering it is quite dingy looking. There are 2 flights of steps and a lift. All in all if you are looking for just a base which is clean and cheap with friendly staff then it's the ideal place. If you want a hotel with facilities then this wouldn't be suitable.
Great central hotel; easy access to majority of sites either by tram, bus or metro. Lots of shops, restaurants and bars only minutes away. Hotel staff extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Rooms were spotless, and perfect for our party of 5. Expect some traffic noise in rooms but we were so tired from sightseeing that it really didn't bother us! If you like walking do NOT buy the BKK travel pass or any other passes from tourist busses as it's simply not worth it, especially if you're on a budget!

On the eastern side of the Danube, Pest is Buda’s flatter, edgier cousin. Tree-lined Andrassy Avenue was originally designed as Budapest’s answer to the Champs-Elysees. Heroes’ Square lies at the eastern end of Andrassy Avenue and is home to the impressive Millennium Monument. Hungarian gifts, food, and souvenirs can be found in Pest’s multi-storey Great Market Hall, the largest in Budapest.
