The staff at the front desk was absolutely not helpful whatsoever!! It was almost like we were bothering them to ask for toilet paper, clean towels, etc., as our room was not serviced for days, leaving us with no toilet paper, clean towels or tissues. Front desk advised housekeeping was done for the day! Room was nice and big, but we had tiny little ants all over the place and couldn’t even enjoy it. Ran out of coffee in the room, saw housekeeping in the hallway and asked for some, she advised resort had run out of coffee for the coffee machines in the room and that there would be none for a few days. Website stated that there were 3 eating facilities, Italian, beach bar grill and buffet. Italian was closed permanently. Buffet was disgusting. One night it was tacos and nothing else. It is supposed to be open from 6-9, however if we went to dinner at 8 there was nothing left and when someone asked, the staff said “ well we close at 9”! The beach bar grill was ok, but just fast foods and very few items on the menu and we got sick of eating the same things for 7 days. The pool was filthy and there were little bugs swimming on the bottom of the pool. Hot tub was a COLD tub. The beach was very rocky, to the point you couldn’t go in it without hurting yourself and there was a ton of seaweed, which needed to be cleaned off the beach. Bartenders, Greg, Bethany, Luisa were awesome. Shout out for a job well done to Lalo!!!" If you want to be near the beach pick one of the many resort hotels. When they say they have parking it is street parking but there was usually a spot not too far from the hotel. Street is very crowded so if you drive make sure you’re comfortable on small streets and parallel parking etc. The breakfast was either pancakes bacon or sausage or eggs your way toast and sausage or bacon. My kids were 3 am 5 and enjoyed The very small pool. I wished o has picked a more resort hotel for our trip but this place was good enough and staff were friendly too. It is centralized to where you can visit anywhere! A car was a must for us. We were there for 8 days and didn’t stop at all. We were go go. The resort was beautiful. The room was more than we expected. Only downside was some of the staff seemed a little rude. Like more annoyed to help than anything. Don’t get me wrong…we had some wonderful interactions with staff. But a few were kind blah. Kinda like they were annoyed at us asking for the simplest of things. I get it…it’s busy and crowded…but something as simple as a key card not working shouldn’t resort in attitude and basically being called a liar. Lol. We were more shocked than anything. We kinda laughed it off. Maybe she was having a rough morning…not sure. But it was ok. Just small things like that. And basically not knowing what to do or where to go seemed hard when asking for help. We were given the simplest of answers and had to ask even more questions. We eventually just figured it out. I would 100% stay here again though! Like I said, we did have some amazing conversations and help from some of the staff! Restaurant and bar overlooking the beach is nice Cons: Need to taxi everywhere (and that added up - CASH ONLY). Most food in the area is overpriced and very average (including hotel food). There didn't seem to be any place nearby with a more animated nighttime vibe. We learned that more of the "action" is on the other side of the island (ie Red Hook area) . So if you are looking for a nicer night time vibe this place may not be for you. Since we are early birds we were happy enough with quiet evenings, grabbing a drink at the beach bar, and walking right to our room after.
