The staff were wonderful! The beach front access was amazing and the rooms were great.
I would just caution that the hotel is in a national park, which comes with some restrictions - you have to buy a wristband everyday and you can't bring in drinks/snacks/groceries in plastic containers.
The staff was kind and knowledgeable. The housekeeper, Mari, did a great job every day getting all the sand out of our bungalow and keeping our space clean. The staff at the restaurant was great, they always had a server that spoke English, the menu was in Spanish and English and the food was absolutely amazing. The location was walking distance to the ruins, you can even see them from the beach! The lobby had games, a pool table, and a foosball table my son and I used every day, multiple times a day. I absolutely loved this hotel and location. I rented a car, and I think that also made a world of difference so we could leave our quiet jungle and go into the town if we wanted.
The hotel is beautiful! The beach is white, except the seaweed, which is all over the gulf and Caribbean. The food is wonderful! They lost their key to our room, so it did not get cleaned 😞, but they comped our taxi, to the airport.
I will definitely be coming back to this resort. It is a hidden gem located walking distance to the ruins. It is quiet, quaint, gorgeous and simple in all the right ways. The staff was so friendly I consider them my friends. A special shout out to Carolina, Oswaldo, Rodolfo,Diego, and Carlos .The restaurant is open air, on the beach and a beautiful relaxing breakfast experience. Breakfast is order off the menu with a nice fruit plate and sweet and savory options. This resort is so amazing! You can stay in a thatched roof hut surrounded by sand and palm trees. This bungalo is cute and clean with air conditioning, beds made up with mosquito netting and sand at your doorstep. I rarely wore shoes around the resort. The reception area is open air and has a pool table and games. It has a lofted ceiling and comfortable seating. They also show movies on weekend nights. No TV, sand between your toes, super friendly caring staff, good cocktails, beautiful beachside restaurant, peace and quiet. What is not to like. This is a perfect laid back, one with nature resort. I could not be happier.

The location in the National Park was great! The beach is beautiful. We booked a garden bungalow which was clean, and steps from the beach, but there is a lot of room for improvement. It was one step above camping. You could feel the springs in the mattress and the sink had a weird water saving faucet that was essentially useless. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food at the restaurant could use improvement. The morning yoga class at the yoga shala overlooking the beach was excellent.
Hotel staff absolutely great.
I only see fault on Expedia side. Expedia advertised as all fees and taxes included. Did not disclosed that you have to pay daily fee to the authorities if you leave outside national park the hotel is located and you have to leave hotel to see ruins or do simple shopping.
Expedia fault not hotel.
Very unique place, right on the beach, very friendly staff and great restaurant.

We were in Hut 25. The plumbing for sink leaked to the floor. The shower curtain wasn’t long enough to keep the floor dry in the bathroom. And the electrical outlets so loose our plugs struggled to stay plugged in.
Staff was great. Breakfast was great.
GPS struggled to get us there and not speaking Spanish was a limitation for figuring it out.
Love this place!!!! It’s really beautiful. So many places you can take pictures. Even out side of it offers like a long pathway you can walk around to and from of places. They have bikes you can ride and it’s about 10 ish minutes from town. I really recommend this place. Only con is just no TV or fridge in the rooms but it’s extremely great for the price!
The resort was clean. Staff was nice. But I did not appreciate that they semi force tips out of you. I am fine to tip, but the staff should not be selecting the amount for me. I have the right to do that myself. When they ask if its alright, it puts pressure on the guest to say yes. Many times, they did not even ask and said it was a ‘service fee.’ This made it seem mandatory which is lie. I am more likely to tip when asked, not forced or pressured.
The room we stayed in was dirty and we think had mold all over the walls. It honestly reminded me of places I used to stay in for $9 USD a night in SE Asia when I was backpacking there. There were definitely surfaces I didn't want to touch or get my luggage near. My mom woke up congested in the morning because if the mold (we think). It was hard to get onto the property and the police we encountered were not helpful at directing us to the entrance we needed to take (which is through a building BTW). The food is expensive and not good. It was nice to get breakfast for free though. The staff is so so kind and wonderful. Like, the best. But everything else was lacking.
Beautiful place,a unique experience AC quit in my room was moved to different one nice and cool bathroom could be a bit better butt not a deal breaker for me,would stay again if in the area
Pros: very kind and friendly staff, AC was cold, food was amazing, very quiet/no parties nearby and you’re surrounded by the jungle. Rodolfo was awesome!
Cons: property is very run down, nowhere to put your clothes, tiny rooms dimly lit, isolated away from town, no outside packaged food or drinks allowed inside the park, reception does not sell food/snacks after the restaurant closes and your room does not have a mini fridge. If you’re diabetic or have blood sugar complications I highly recommend you do not stay here. We ended up paying to upgrade our room half way through because the room was so small and the walls were mouldy/bubbling from the humidity. Our upgraded room had fly larvae crawling out of the drains in the shower. You can’t flush your toilet paper down the toilet due to poor infrastructure (common in Mexico but we were not warned). They didn’t have updated menus for their restaurant online prior to us booking, and didn’t have any cheap snacks to grab & go. You’re stuck paying 300-600 pesos for a taxi ride to town for food, going to another resort for expensive food or paying 350-1500 pesos at the restaurant for lunch & dinner. The beach lounge beds are also falling apart and do not look like the photos on their website.
We saw the negative reviews and figured some people are just high maintenance, but for the price we paid, what we were expecting and our overall experience we have deemed the negative reviews true.
Alito Hotel is situated in a beautiful place beautiful beach and premises (away from town and any restaurants, stores pharmacies etc.,)and the staff is amazing very accommodating and willing to help you and the food at restaurant is excellent! that being said the hotel lobby has many leaks(and it rained a few times we were there and all furniture get wet) so does the restaurant and the cabins...we arrived and we were giving a cabin that was leaking all over and it was very dated I guess that's part of charm; we spoke to front desk and we were quickly moved to better one, however toilet kept clogging, no hot water, not enough towels, no toilet paper it was a hit or miss... if you don't mind any of that this is place for you and if you leave hotel you have to pay back a fee to come back to hotel
crazy! and the taxis are expensive too...
All and all if you just want a nature, quiet vacation relaxing at beach away from all hustle and bustle this is place for you!
