"Went direct to the hotel from Thirsk, and arrived at 10.30 am. The receptionist was very polite and let us store our cases until we could check in at 3pm. Easy check-in, and had a river facing room on the third floor. Beautiful room, and great bathroom ( the shower was a drencher but there was a shower cap) and lovely view. Blackout curtains and spacious with enough coat hangers for our stay. This is the second time we have stopped and may be tempted to make it a regular yearly hotel as everywhere was exceptionally clean, with a nice smell. Central enough for walking from the train station and close to the town centre."

"Every time I stay at this IHG on the outskirts of York I am greeted with warmth, professionalism and kindness. Amber was on reception, she was very professional and check in was effortless and quick. She also helped me out with a couple of queries. Breakfast was wonderful as usual, really nice staff, full of smiles & helpfulness."
