"We stayed for a wedding just outside of the village and it was just perfect. The lady on reception last Saturday (17thOct) in the afternoon /evening was great, so informative and took our photo no problem. Nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be back. The Blue Lion is ideally situated for a stop over when making a long journey to Cornwall. The room was well equipped and comfortable. There is some traffic noise from the road, but that did not spoil our one night stay. The staff were welcoming and the locals were friendly. The evening meal was excellent. I would stay here again if travelling in this area.

Unique for this B&B is the hospitality of Iain and Jack. They make for you a delicious breakfast every morning and serve it in their kitchen. In the evening you can read a book in their superb living room. So many details in their house. A pleasure to see around. The bedroom and bathroom are very clean.

Our new favourite place, absolutely faultless. Food is exceptional, a significant step up from your normal pub grub. Our little pooch was also made to feel incredibly welcome and even served with her own little platter of treats. A beautifully clean and well presented restaurant experience that welcomes anyone whether it be special celebrations or a party of hikers that have just conquered Dartmoor. 100% we will be back and bringing friends and family.

This is the most fabulous hotel. The buildings from 1810 arranged around the courtyard are beautiful. The staff are all true professionals, courteous, helpful, knowledgeable, all with a smile.
Our room was lovely with a view down to the Tamar and beautifully presented.
Now to the dining where do you start? The food was I think the best we have ever eaten. The menu was a complete gastronomic experience from breakfast to dinner.
We will definitely return.
