"The room was clean, the lake view from my room was pretty nice, the restaurants' staff were very friendly and attentive, the overall atmosphere was good and the hotel was not overly crowded. Great that there is an Eska spa in the hotel as well.
However, there was this female frontdesk staff who was a little rude - on one of the days, I went down to the frontdesk to ask her about what the complimentary coupon for the lobby bar entails. The next morning I called the reception to check if the mini bar was complimentary, apparantly that same female staff was on duty, and she must have heard it wrongly the first day and thought I was asking about the mini bar again, so she told me in a very sassy tone that she "ALREADY TOLD ME" that it was complimentary. I went on to explain that on the previous day, I was actually asking about the lobby bar, not the mini bar in the room, but she continued to argue with me. I felt that even if there wasn't a miscomm, she should have been more patient if a guest were to ask the same question. However, in my case it was two different qns. She should keep that attitude and tonality in check, and probably be retrained. If the frontdesk struggles to answer questions from guests, I suggest that the hotel should put small notes in the room to indicate such things, or have the frontdesk staff inform us upon arrival. Details like pool operating hours and mini-bar were left out etc."

"Staff were great! Exceptional service! Pool was right infront of the dining restaurant / checkin counter so a little strange placement there due to lack of privacy.
Its a secluded resort so theres no shopping options but if youre opting to come here for a getaway, its worth it! Buggy service is available to take you between Angsana & Banyan Tree as well - theyre all under the same Banyan Group umbrella so its shared facilities! Theres pingpong, board games, a whole slew of daily activities i.e zumba / pool party, etc
Managed to try breakfast @ Vista (a lot of options to choose), dinner at Treetops Restaurant (costed us about 1.1 mil rupiah for 2 pax) & Int Bbq Dinner @ Xana Beach Club (680,000/nett per pax excl. drinks)
All in all, it was pretty worth it for a quick getaway! We reached around 6pm & spent about SGD$550 for 2 pax / 2D2N (excl. ferry tickets) - not too bad i suppose. "

"I stayed here for 5D4N and the staff service was impeccable and top notch ! Everywhere you go within the premise, the service staffers were all smiley and greeting you. Not a single scowl or unhappiness and they all seem so happy doing their work!
For example… After they made our bed, they would give us something very personal and thoughtful like a message on the bed, complete with pretty origami using towels. See photos. In addition, during breakfasts, the server would come round with something special frlm the kitchen and asking you for constructive feedback, or just generally chatting with you on your home country. On the third day, we were served wonderful fruit tarts and I truly enjoyed it! Hence on the fourth day, I asked if I could have the fruit tart from the day before. The server told me he would check with the kitchen and 10min later, he came with 3 fruit tarts! Freshly baked to cater to my whims! How is this not good service? I love this hotel stay and would recommend to anyone ! "
