A little dated in the styling and kitchen, but clean, comfortable, a full kitchen (limited utensils but the basics). Nice verandah into water with chairs and tables. Air con was good also. The pools were fantastic!! A huge one up top near the restaurant (they were happy to serve us food there) and a great smaller pool on the beach. The transport service from room to restaurant was great and they came whenever we asked (although hotel was not busy at all when we were there) Great band that plays in evening. Areas they could do better in: - too much rubbish in beach - they had cleaned a lot of rubbish but left the bags full sitting in beach. - there was an old speed boat broken left in middle of beach - there were multiple ‘kayaks’ and peddle boats that the kids wanted to use but all were broken (so they need to remove them) - the beach sports centre looked like an old garage that was falling down, no signage and no food or drinks available down on beach. For the price and location, was not a million miles from other similar resorts. However, the Hotels.com information was inaccurate and misleading on some room types. Majority of imagery + info refer to / show elements only available in premium rooms / the villas, whereas the majority of rooms don’t have these features and are more basic - e.g. I booked a Deluxe Room on the basis of the information listing of a King Bed and having a bath tub. On check in, it was a twin bed, no bath and no furniture on the balcony (and the wifi was poor). The staff were able to help me change rooms to what I’d been expecting, which was then more like the large, spacious room with a tub + furniture in the listing. Other issues I might have otherwise overlooked, but due to the room issues just meant I was disappointed and wouldn’t come back: food was only OK, was nice being able to see the sea and Singapore views, but construction looks messy and was noisy at times, as was the party resort across the water. There were rooms available but they were unwilling to let us check in early. We got to the hotel at 1230pm but told us check in was at 3pm. Check in time on expedia clearly stated as 2pm. We booked 7 rooms for 7 individuals but they wanted to give us 7 rooms with 2 twin beds. Only after we agreed to pay extra money for an upgrade then we were given 7 rooms with King beds. At dinner time we asked the staff to help call a restauant we wanted to go to in another resort. Staff was again unwilling to help. Told me they couldnt help to call. Said they didnt have the number, even when I gave them the number from google they were still very unwilling to help us make an enquiry. Came back an hour later, told us the room was still not ready. Came back an hour later again and still gave us the same excuse. However, we notice people checking in after us was getting their rooms. She told us we can get our room immediately if we upgraded. I do not think we should pay extra for the hotel’s inefficiency.
