"We loved our stay at Riverside Cottage. The cottage itself had everything we needed and it has been finished to a very high standard. Unlike a lot of places the appliances are from quality manufacturers such as Samsung (fridge, oven, and dishwasher), AEG (washing machine), and Bosch (gas hob), and the beds are super comfy with crisp white linen on them. Cut off from the (quiet) road also it feels quite alone and it is not overlooked. To cap it off the host was very helpful and gave us all the information we needed for a great stay. That included a list of lovely walks, of various grades, which can be done from/to the cottage, and there is also a nice pub within easy walking distance, which overlooks the estuary (George III Inn). We really relaxed here and just found the whole stay totally perfect"

"The Black Boy Inn has a lovely location close to the City Centre, public transportation, the Caernarfon Castle, an abundance of interesting shops and several nearby walking trails. The morning breakfast available to guests was a very reasonable price for a high quality selection of hot breakfast choices. My favorite dish was the salmon and scrambled eggs. The morning staff were attentive and efficient. I stayed in a cozy single twin bed room with a skylight. There were beams I needed to stay aware of.The bed was firm which I find comfortable. I would have preferred a little brighter light over the desk, but the light next to the bed was great for reading. The bathroom was clean and modern in decor. The shower had pros and cons. First, the rain shower feature had good water pressure and plenty of warm water. However, the opening to the shower was not very wide which would be an obstacle for larger folks. Overall, I was quite comfortable during my 3 night stay and I would not hesitate to stay at the Black Boy Inn again or recommend it to friends & family. "

"Clean cosy room with a great shower. Fantastic view of Moel Siabod, weather permiting! Staff were friendly and helpfull and the breakfast was lovely. Good selection of food on offer , watch out for great value specials, the curry was great. Free parking for residents/customers. We will be back."

"Every member of staff we met at the hotel were absolutely lovely. The chef and catering team did a really great job catering for my quite specific unusual dietary issues, and all the others were cheerful, helpful and attentive. Our room was spotless and very comfortable, although being really picky, we found the lighting was a little bit dim. We really enjoyed the stay very much. "

"Staff were lovely, hotel had everything you could want and the food, especially breakfast was top class. A bit short on parking and not a fan of the automated check in but it was simple enough. A beautiful place to visit and great hotel to stay in."

"Got to hotel only to be told by staff that the twin bedroom I had booked wasn't available and that they only had a double room for us. Had to complain to the manager to get them to change it. Shame as the room was clean tidy and had good facilities."
