This was a home from home. We could not have been made to feel more welcome. After a 3.5 day drive from Corfu to walk through the doors of a friendly Great British hostelry was simply the best experience. Spacious accommodation in the Flat, plenty of room to unwind with my two dogs who were a little wound up after the long drive. A good nights sleep and the ability to run off steam in the field opposite, we all left relaxed and chilled. Pub grub was fabulous too! As I couldn’t stay for breakfast...

Although the hotel was situated on a dual carriageway the rooms were quiet, clean, spacious and comfortable. We were particularly pleased to have air conditioning in the room. The staff were friendly and helpful even under such strange circumstances. The food was good with generous portions.

Hotel was closing due to Govt guidelines. Staff were very professional and I felt so much effort had gone into ensuring staff and customer safety due to Covid-19 controls not was a shame to be closing. I still have to travel to Devon weekly due to working on an essential supply chain business and would have felt extremely safe at Hotel Du Vin. Hope to see you guys again very soon. Peter

A little gem. We had a lovely room overlooking the river. Beautifully decorated, nice furnishings, comfortable bad and bedding. It's a small inn with 11 rooms so no lifts and no miles of corridors (perfect for me).
We had a very good dinner in the restaurant so there was no need to walk back into the city centre.
Breakfast was very good, the hot food was served so freshly cooked rather than buffet.
All staff were friendly and helpful. The free, convenient parking was a bonus.

Lovely old, traditional hotel in a great central location (opposite Exeter Central railway station) with on-site parking. Easy walking to all amenities. Staff very helpful. Unfortunately they weren’t serving lunch but lots of choice nearby. Saw other reviews about it being ‘a bit tired’ - so glad it didn’t put me off. Will definitely be using this as my base for all future visits to Exeter.

Graham and Annie (our hosts) were able to offer us any check time after 09.00. We actually arrived about 16.00 to be checked in immediately and shown to our room. The first night was a bit of a problem as the room overlooked the main road with a farm entrance across the road. The building is very old with thick stone walls and we needed the window open which was noisy with traffic throughout the night. On speaking to Graham the following morning, he was most apologetic and changed our room to...

A lovely little cottage with everything you could possibly need for a weekend get away.
A beautiful location set far enough back from the hustle and bustle to enjoy the peace and quiet of the country, but also situated close to Sidmouth, Exeter and more.
