"I booked to stay at the Barns for a group of friends looking to meet up for a reunion and it was honestly, one of the best places I have ever stayed. The host (Jade) was so attentive, nothing was too much trouble and communication was just great. The place is beautiful, so clean throughout, well decorated with beautiful welcome basket on arrival! My friends were so impressed some have actually looked to book for further events. The location is great, 25 mins to Hereford centre and we were able to get taxis back on Friday night. I cannot recommend this place enough, so grateful to find it and cannot wait to go back. To summarise, main benefits are - clean, modern, beautiful location, great host, loads of parking. Improvements - honestly none. Thank you Jade and team for making our stay simply wonderful"

"We could not have enjoyed our stay at the Ciderhouse Cottage any more! It was perfect for our needs, very clean, comfortable and practical without any unnecessary frills. The setting is wonderful and there is plenty of access to great local pubs, restaurants, shops in Monmouth while you can retreat to your own little cottage far from the noisy world. Dave was a wonderful host and especially kind and forbearing with my teenage daughters who showed a keen interest in his farm and Nell, the farm dog. We did local walks which were easy access and beautiful as well as day trips to Abergavenny, the Forest of Dean and Hay on Wye - all easy to reach.I hope that we can find an excuse to come back and we greatly appreciated the stay!"

"This is a beautiful old farmhouse. The exterior pictures on the listing don’t do it justice really. The bedrooms are lovely: all very large with crisp white bedding. The birdsong is like a symphony. We had a fire every night in the fireplace in the big lounge. It has 3 sofas so was really comfy and roomy. Kitchen is well equipped with a long table to eat in and then another absolutely enormous dining table in the dining room next to the kitchen. We loved the outdoor space which has a hammock chair and a 3 seater outdoor sofa and looks onto a lawn surrounded by trees. It could probably do with a couple more outdoor chairs as otherwise there is only a picnic bench which isn’t that close to the other chairs so we couldn’t all sit out together but it’s a small gripe. You can walk to Skenfrith Castle just a few minutes down the road and there is a path within the Castle grounds which leads down to a river where you can swim. Beautiful location with lots of walks, although very hilly (some hills of 45 degrees for quite a distance) so not the best for the older family members."
