"My recent stay at the Imperial Hotel in Torquay was exceptional from start to finish. The professionalism, kindness, and genuine warmth shown by every member of staff made the visit truly memorable. Kelly and Ndey on reception were outstanding — welcoming, attentive, and effortlessly helpful as always.Housekeeping were equally impressive, keeping everything spotless with a friendly smile. The bar staff added to the experience with their charm and excellent service. A special mention must go to the incredible,breathtaking views across the bay. I highly recommend the Imperial Hotel. It’s a place where you feel genuinely cared for, and where every detail is handled with warmth and professionalism."

"My visit to the Belmont was perfect. It is the first time in many years that a venue has exceeded my expectations and some. From the dedicated parking space, through Reception to our room left no doubt that we were expected and welcomed. Every member of the team we met were professional, cheerful and interested in our wellbeing. The dining room staff and the food were first class with the experience enhanced at dinner by the inclusion of a pianist at a grand piano! The hotel’s position and amenities are second to none and, though the weather during our visit left much to be desired that didn’t detract from our enjoyment. I have no doubt I will be returning to the Belmont in the future."

"This was our first time in this hotel how lovely. Check inn was easy but not given a lot of information. The lifts were used by your key card excellent. The room was absolutely lovely fresh,clean,airy. The shower bathroom was wonderful. Bed was super comfy as were the pillows. Had a meal in the evening after going out it was fantastic beautiful area and wonderful staff especially Amy she was so friendly and helpful very professional. Had breakfast so good. Car park £15 the stay was great. Only down point was checking out the lady was great but the gentleman who booked us in had made mistakes and made her job hard, our check out a very long process and a queue formed behind us. We will definitely stay again wonderful."

"Booked a single room in May 2026. First room I was given: tiny room, couldn't fully open wardrobe door because bed was in the way, v. limited wardrobe space, not helped by ironing board being kept there. TV not working, no safe, lights not fully functioning, Asked to be moved. Second room: could open wardrobe door, but same problem with storage in the wardrobe ( although ironing board was now stored behind the curtain). Had to live out of suitcase and bags for the week as a consequence: not great or relaxing for a tidy person. No door hooks for coats and robe added to untidiness. Base of bed marked on both sides with what looked like urine, checked the mattress, but that was ok. Housekeeping chaotic. Room not clean. Dirty mark on bathroom floor for two days before I d/w it myself. Safe present. TV catchup not working Reported twice, but not sorted). Biscuits and bottled water provided some days but not others; reported to reception, but nothing done. Last day of stay, decided to eat poolside before setting off. Was told that there was only a sharing menu available on Sundays. I pointed out that I was a single hotel guest, but no alternative was offered: end of a rotten week. Wrote to hotel from home about this, but have received no reply. Would not recommend this hotel."
