"A really lovely hotel which is right on the sea front with lots of amazing restaurants and bars close by. A nice and clean hotel with the most amazing breakfast and overall service."

"Really pleased with the room , bed really comfortable, great sea view, very clean . However really disappointing evening meal, waited 55 minutes for the main course and then when it came it wasn't good , very small portions , salmon overcooked and pancake undercooked . "I would like to have given the Sidmouth Harbour Hotel 5 stars. However, I have only given it 4 stars because the main hotel description on Expedia is inaccurate. It says "this hotel sits directly on a pebble beach....". It does not. It is situated about 3 minutes walk from the beach, 75 feet above sea level on the adjacent hillside. I pointed this error out to the receptionist, who agreed the description is incorrect. But it has not been changed. In all other respects, the hotel met our expectations. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food at breakfast and dinner was very good. I particularly enjoyed the pianist playing the piano during Sunday lunch. I recommend this hotel to couples who are looking for a luxurious stay."

"I have stayed at the Royal Glen several times now. I don’t stay in the hotel much because I love Sidmouth so go out all day but I have breakfast at the Hotel and go back in the evening. I usually have a standard room but this time treated us to a suite and it was lovely. There is enough parking although you do need to be careful as it is a small site. The staff are helpful and friendly. Breakfast was lovely, you can request slight changes to what is listed on the menu. There is a buffet breakfast also with fruit, cereal, yoghurt, hot drinks and fruit juice. The hotel is well kept and clean."
