"All very well appointed - from the carpark through to reception and the bedrooms. Rooms - attractive with lovely bed and bedding, comfortable chairs and table as well as desk and hanging space, good bathroom (nice bath - and shower could be lifted down also). Restaurant leading onto the beautiful gardens with magnificent ancient magnolia was very nice too - we had two excellent evening meals and breakfasts; there was a good choice of dishes for a vegetarian (me)."

"Overall a good experience. We upgraded to a deluxe room as our original room had no a/c ( which I find odd for a modern hotel). The upgrade was definitely worth it; a bigger room, nice free minibar and Nespresso Vertuo coffee machine. The hotel was nice and quiet and had a relaxing feel. Staff were friendly if not super service minded however, this did not detract from the experience. Food selection was adequate but not mind blowing - the burger was very nice. The setting was lovely as was the surrounding area."

Gray Manor Hotel

"We occupied room 24, where we received a warm welcome from the hotel staff. The staff members were exceptionally friendly and supportive. Overall, the cleanliness of the room was satisfactory. However, the toilet closet was not entirely clean from the previous guest's use. I reported this to the staff, who promptly came to the room to conduct their checks. They returned to inform me that it was a stain on the side rather than dirt. I did not want to impose further, as they were very kind and approachable. I returned to the room and cleaned the toilet myself before using it. We enjoyed a pleasant breakfast, and my son particularly liked their breakfast menu. Overall, the staff were very kind and approachable, making it a good place to stay. The customer service is trustworthy. Also, they valued people of every ethnicity and interacted with them respectfully."

Village Hotel Swindon

Village Hotel Swindon

"The hotel is very clean and ideally located, with shops nearby and an adventure centre with cinema and other entertainment facilities just across the road. We booked a family room and it was great, very spacious and clean. I requested a cot for my baby and it was in the room when we got there. The swimming pool and other facilities were wonderful, and we all enjoyed it. The bar/restaurant was great too and they were showing the World Cup final on the big screen which was brilliant for my husband and 10 year old who are football mad. The staff were lovely, talked us through the self check in and out. They also assisted very promptly when we realised our shower had no bodywash, just shampoo and handwash. There were a lot of positives and we’d definitely book again. The only things that let us down a bit was that the room was at the far end of the corridor so there was a lot of walking to get to it. It seems the closest exit was blocked off for some maintenance work, which we aren’t holding against them as it is temporary. It was very warm in the night and there was no where to get water, which for me as a breastfeeding mum was disappointing. I tried to message the team on the designated platform, I even went down to reception in the early hours to try and get some water but to no avail. I assumed there’d be a water dispenser or a vending machine at least. Otherwise a good stay, seems they are fixing a few things in the hotel which is promising. I would highly recommend"
