"The Barleycorn is situated in the middle of a village, and it was lovely to listen to the wood pigeons burbling/cooing through the window. The rooms are not above the pub, but behind, and consequently quiet; ours was nicely furnished and the bed/mattress comfy. The owners are enthusiastic and welcoming. The main disadvantage to the location concerns traffic, such as Macdonald's lorries, that seems to race along the road: it makes finding somewhere to safely walk the dogs a little...

"Beautiful little place, Ideally located near to shops,pubs,restaurants,etc. The flat is small but just right for a couple with perhaps one child It was clean throughout and well equipped with wahing machine, fridge,Microwave and cooker. Decor looked like a war zone once you left the dining area, and the hotel was left totally unmanned overnight to the point when I called the telephone number in the morning just to check out and get my car which was blocked in the car park. "Bedrooms lovely but tight around beds. but en-suites quite roomy. So easy for different groups to do different things in the huge barn dinning/kitchen/lounge. Our 4 and 6 aged grand sons loved the space and outdoors games. Trampoline, football, table tennis etc. Google the grinding barn for easy location guidance as 3 of our 4 cars struggled with the given directions."
