    Excellent and convenient place in midtown NYC. From our front desk check in with Simon to cocktails in the Stayton with Lauren - great service from everyone. The lobby area is large and accomodating when you want to hang out or wait for friends. Free coffee station well stocked in lobby in case you want to grab just coffee without getting breakfast. Breakfast was wonderful with scrambled eggs and scrambled egg whites and cocktail vouchers each evening !! Beautiful Christmas tree in lobby for some cheer and since I didn't have time or energy to put mine up this year - loved it! Rooms are not tiny as some reviews say - perfectly good size for an NYC hotel room and plenty of drawer space. Bathroom is small but plenty of shelves to help you stow things & since hotel is in old bldg - you can still open a window which is nice. We had a corner room which gave us views of both Lexington and 48th which we enjoyed. Ashley's 'cafe' across street is good - nice salad and hot food bar and food was delicious.…
