I wasn't sure what to expect but this Holiday Inn is one of the best run hotels i have stayed in. I mean everything just gels here. The staff are quite honestly astoundingly good. From walking in the door they were warm and friendly and just so welcoming. The room was spotless, including tea/coffee making things. And the breakfast is wonderful. 10/10 to all of you we will be back for sure.

I can't fault the hotel, the staff, the bar, the food or the price. Staff were young but knowledgable. Food was simple but delicious. The bar had inventive twists on drinks (Negronis with port replacing Martini Rosso? A hot chocolate with Remy Martin?) If you're looking for a hotel that is bang in the centre of Edinburgh, look elsewhere. This is in the beautiful area of Stockbridge, 20min walk or 5 min bus ride from Princes St. We'll stay here again. Loved it.

Our room 220 was lovely we knew it didn’t have windows but the massive screen showing Hearts ground totally amazing. The room spacious my only gripe was the Milton brown shampoo and shower gel pumps didn’t work but I bought my own and one night we didn’t have hand towels but that’s all minor things. We had plenty of condiments and a lovely touch free crisps and jammy dodgers my fav lol. The staff 10/10 outstanding from the lovely ladies on reception to the guys in the sky restaurant. We stayed here to celebrate my husbands special birthday. From the moment we drove up and saw the impressive ship we knew we were in for a special treat. Everything about this place is incredible. Absolutely excellent in every way. Will definitely stay here again. It was perfect, and everything was brand-new super clean with staff who couldn’t be more helpful.

We had a great stay. The staff we very friendly and helpful, the room was lovely, the food was good, and it was very peaceful. It's a £10 cab ride to get anywhere though, so keep that in mind if that kind of thing bothers you and you're not driving (they always came quickly though).

We cannot recommend this property enough! The location, cleanliness,staff,the upstairs bar, everything was wonderful. Its steps away from the station and everything is walkable. We did not get a taxi or uber once because we were able to walk to most of the locations. I highly recommend this hotel. Will stay again if we visit Edinburgh

This was a great place to stay for our family trip to Edinburgh. The tram station is right outside and only 20 mins ins. We drove and parking was straight forward albeit chargeable at £8 per day. The pool was a real added bonus for our kids after a long day of tourism. Only slight issue for me is our kids are getting older and Novotels concept of a "family" room is starting to look less desirable than the Premier Inns as the sofa bed is tight. It was absolutely lovely! Very close to Edinburgh Waverley and some lovely restaurants. Calton Hill is right next door as well. The front desk staff was very helpful, and the room was plush and clean. We wish we could stay longer!
