"Welcome by staff was very good. They were fantastic, enthusiastic to assist. Room was large, with everything we needed. Very traditional, with kettle, free water and alt milk ready. Great bar and the Garden room offered cocktails or tea. Perfect for visit to York."

"We enjoyed our 4 night stay and would return again in the future. We liked the location just outside York and with a Park & Ride just a few minutes away. The hotel is nice and staff helpful. The room we had was larger than most and had all the usual facilities (including a fridge), the decor was a little tired and could do with freshening up, also the bathroom needed updating. Overall it was a pleasant stay and I would recommend it at the price we payed."

"Efficient, friendly staff at check in. Excellent choice for breakfast and served promptly. The hotel was clean, although there were signs that it was beginning to look a little worn. The shower was hot. The hotel was in an quiet location, convenient for travelling to York or any part of North Yorkshire. Would recommend."

"We have stayed at this hotel a lot of times in the last sixteen years always well looked after the staff very friendly & polite Stuart is very good at his job . The rooms are nice & clean a little bit dated but ok the car park is very secure with a automatic gate but the car park can get a bit short on space if busy. Raymond Woodcock 5th September."
