Sink in bathroom very slow to drain, no dishwasher despite there being instructions! Bed is comfortable and clean but very narrow, not really suitable for two people. Fan was old and would not be sufficient in a recent heatwave as windows only partially open."

"We used this hotel as a stop over, for the first time, on our way to Scotland. Great idea as the hotel is very close to the A1 and very welcoming and comfortable. It has a pool which was very relaxing before an enjoyable dinner. Also being in the centre of the village short local walks are welcome, especially to the river Ure to see the salmon steps. Rooms are very well appointed and interestingly decorated. The whole hotel is soft furnished giving a quiet and relaxing atmosphere. Parking was free and secure. We will definitely stop here again. Thanks to all the staff for making our stay successful. Terry & Linda"
