The apartment was excellent, well appointed and in a good convenient central location. What let it down was the parking. This was 20mins walk away, but this was not made clear until after we had booked. Also the check in procedure for the parking was difficult. It took us an hour to get this done. To be fair once we gave up trying and rang the owner he sorted it out immediately.

Absolutely fantastic location, had a few question and the owner was so patient and helpful! Would 1000% recommend and will definitely be back, perfect for a couple night away

Everything we needed under one roof. Free parking which, considering the time of year and how busy it was, was ideal. The location was ideal - walking distance to everything!

Perfect for a city break

It was my third time staying here and it was just as good as before. The apartment is clean and tidy and ideally located for sightseeing around York. There's a nice pub opposite and a Sainsburys right at the end of the road. Check-in is very simple and even though it's a ground floor place there's hardly any noise from the outside. Great place to stay!

Very nice apartment

The apartment is really nice and comfortable, the location is excellent. We struggled with the check in initially as the instructions email were sent to my junk email, but the host was very helpful and explained over the phone all the details required and offered a later check out due to the hassle. The free parking is really helpful, but it is a bit of a hassle having to collect the car park entry fob from the apartment to then go to the car park when initially arriving, then having to take the fob with you to exit the car park and then having to retake it back to the apartment leaving.

Great location, only 5-7 minutes from the centre of town and the shambles. Please be advised that the parking IS NOT on site but a 12-15 minute walk and even then it’s in a secure parking lot with no direction of where to park and we unfortunately parked in someone’s space without knowing. Will not suit anyone with mobility issues. Sadly, the apartment is tired- lots of repairs needed attention. For example, the shower hose was split in so many places it sprayed all over the floor. The plug sockets from previous guests were blocked with broken plugs so unusable. The lounge TV only had sound andno picture.

Love the apartment. It was very cosy for me and my husband. It had everything we needed and very close to everything, which is why I picked this place, as we didn’t rent a car. The host was very quick to respond with my questions and check in was very easy. The apartment was very clean and comfortable. I love the location. I highly recommend!

The free car park is a 15 minute walk away and not the easiest system to check in your car, only way I seemed to be able to get in touch with the property Manager was via WhatsApp, nobody answered phone from two numbers provided. They did at least reply to say all looked good re the parking permit check in. Apartment was ground level, kind of expected a riverside view, unfortunately the only view we had was the bin store. The Apartment was clean enough, with good facilities. Bed was comfy enough and shower was decent with mixer taps. As a base for exploring York I would say the Apartment served it's purpose, only 5-10 minute walk to Shops, Shambles and main areas. I would recommend staying here if you just want a base and are not really bothered about the view.

Great location

Parking was close by at the Nunnery car park with charging costs about £17.50 a day at the time of writing. The location is brillian close to town but far enough away to be quiet to sleep in.

No one answers the phone or returns messages Mould in soap dispenser in washing machine-absolutely unusable Unclean bathroom. The bathroom could have been cleaner, toilet bowl missed. Parking included but 15minute walk from the apartment but is safe and secure. The sette in the lounge is very uncomfortable, could do with changing. Issues resolved very quickly. I would stay again.

Property had a noisy neighbour, was cold, needed a clean, and general state; just unloved. Not the standard you'd expect when you've paid £ for a rare, child-free break! Overall, disappointing. Avoid.

Cosy YES. Riverside NOT. The title gives the impression that you will have have a riverside view but It felt more like a basement and we had lovely views of the bins! The TV was a nightmare. Degree in technolgy needed. Instructions would have been helpful. Bathroom rough round the edges. Left it cleaner than I found it.... !

One night stay

Business overnight stay. Arrived late and the apartment took a bit of finding then the key box didn’t open. I entered the building and flat 19 was open which didn’t feel right entering into a room that was unlocked. Wi-Fi didn’t work which was a nightmare as I had lots of emails to catch up on and being an old building my mobile signal was virtually non existent. Also there wasn’t a spare toilet roll and less than a quarter available. Great location though and perfectly situated for a visit to york
