My wife and I recently visited the Austria Trend Parkhotel Schönbrunn to attend a wedding nearby.
We were delighted with our choice of hotel. The hotel is within sight of the Hietzing U-Bahn station and overlooks Schönbrunn Park. Our room was at the back of the hotel overlooking the pretty hotel garden and not the park. This allowed us to leave the window open at night without being disturbed by traffic. The room was immaculately tidied everyday and was large enough for us to have a foldout bed added for a friend who joined us for the wedding.
The food at breakfast was brilliant, lots of little austrian treats like the Berner Wurstl (bacon wrapped sausages with a cheese filling) and Kaisersemmel (bread rolls) along with fruit, meats cheeses and hot food cooked to order.
All the staff were polite and helpful, sorting out any little issues we had from extra pillows to an additional hair dryer.
We explored the area and found Hietzing (District 13) to be full of lovely shops, great bars and restaurants and our favourite of the many parks in Vienna Schönbrunn Schlosspark.

The hotel is a short walk from the metro and from Schoenbrunn Palace. It is very reasonably priced. We stayed there last year as a base to see the Christmas markets and returned last week to spend a week exploring the region. The reception staff were polite and courteous, nothing was too much trouble. The waiters, Cisse and Ali both went out of their way to ensure we enjoyed our stay. They were kind and helpful, showing a genuine interest in our plans and recommending places to see.
The rooms are needing a little updating as the carpet was a little worn, however the shower over the bath was excellent, the TV was large and of good quality, the bed was very comfortable.
There was plenty of choice for breakfast and again the staff were constantly replenishing the food.
a very good hotel. their is a new fitness instead of the pool (we didn't know about it). good and rich breakfast.
we like everything. the room, the cleaning, the very good service at the reception. and the hotel is very close to the metro station.
one thing was Prominent- the service of the staff at the dining room - try to avoid and not to help and seems like suffering - never smile... easy to ignore it as guest. but not Inappropriate to Considered hotel.
"Nice Mondern looking hotel close to metro stations"
Very close to the train station by U6 and very clean and comfortable room! Staff were very nice and the triple room was really large! Wifi was a little tricky.. it was free but had to login repeatedly. Still, reasonable price and comfortable hotel.

If you're looking for a hotel with simple facilities, then this is the right one for you. It is conviniently situated 15 minutes away from the Westbahnhof train station with the 58 tram, and is also 6 minutes away from Hietzing U-Bahn station on Line U4, which reaches the city centre from here in 12 minutes. The hotel itself is very good. There is lift and stair access to the reception, which is staffed by lovely people, and also a very adorable parrot. The room I stayed in was very nice. The beds were reasonable, and the dining table provided was more than adequate. The bath was a bit small, but I couldn't fault the cleaniness of the bathroom and the room itself. It can be quite noisy from the street outside, but with ear plugs you can get a good nights sleep. Overall, the hotel is very reasonable, and very accessible.

We had a great experience at this 4 star hotel. As a family with 2 adults and 2 children, they upgraded our room to an apartment with no extra fees. They do that automatically for larger families if that apartment is available. We were lucky, and made our lives easier. Although small, the hotel has a parking behind the building, offers a very good breakfast (for extra fee), and is 3 metro stations away from the center (Opera where they have the main Hop On Hop Off location in front of the opera) and 3 from Schonbrunn palace. We actually walked to Schonbrunn and it took about 35-40 minutes with two small children.
The hotel staff were very friendly, speaking perfect English, and helped us with maps, advices for reaching places, and indicated a great restaurant nearby located in a very beautiful building. Great food too. The driving was not bad at all in Vienna, so overall we had a great experience.

This Viennese suburb is best known for being the summer residence of the Habsburgs. Dating from the 18th century, the palace contains nearly 1,500 rooms of dazzling Baroque and Rococo splendour. Vienna’s zoo and the elegant glass-and-iron Palmenhaus are also here and worth discovering.
