"Always a lovely time "

"We enjoyed staying at 5 Shadycombe cottage. Owner sent lots of useful information by email shortly before stay. The cottage was compact, clean and well equipped. The bathrooms were a little compact. The cottage location and proximity to Salcombe allowed us to walk into town. We found fabulous art store, along with a great bakery for breakfast goods and pasties, in addition fudge, chocolate and ice cream stores all very yummy. Be advised Salcombe itself is not car or wheelchair friendly. We were delighted with The Crabshell in Kingsbridge."

"This property is ideal for a large family group. We had teens at 16 years to their grandparents at 80 and the house worked well for all of us. The property is clean and well presented but still practical so you can relax in it. It was very well set up in terms of equipment and facilities. The hot tub and sauna were a surprising godsend to our break, giving us plenty of things to do around the house when the weather wasn’t fantastic. The location both in the town centre and Salcombe was just amazing for when the weather was great. We had an absolutely super time and would like to thank our hosts very much for all their help and hospitality."

"We had a lovely 3 day stay at Soar Mill Cove. The food is outstanding, really delicious. Breakfast was great, lots of attention to detail like homemade jams. We ended up having dinner there twice and a couple of cream teas as it was so good. Lounge area is great with the sea view, we enjoyed playing board games there. Pool is lovely, really clean and bigger than it looks in the pictures. Staff were friendly and attentive. Mostly families staying over Easter which was nice for the kids. There were a few mix-ups on food and drinks orders, wrong stuff coming out or things missing, but these were always resolved quickly and didn't really matter to us."

"The property was in a lovely quiet position but did feel the shop should have been open whilst people were on site because of its location. When we arrived the sofa still had some sand on, there are cobwebs in bedroom windows and some kitchen utensils were not too clean. We really enjoyed our stay and felt totally relaxed whilst there. Would recommend."

"Reiterate as said above, if travelling in two car to this excellent destination parking for the second vehicle could be a problem."
