The pub is ideally located both for walkers and other visitors to Dartmoor. I was walking the Two Moors Way with a friend. Kevin welcomed us at the door and we were instantly at home. Our room was spacious, clean with very comfortable beds. Power shower took a little adjusting but was fine when mastered. Food was good and beer was excellent. I probably wouldn't have gone if I'd known as I was just after somewhere to sleep for one night. Once there it was lovely though and the bed was very comfy. Beautiful surroundings, lovely host. Very quiet. The owners and staff are lovely, the food is nice, the rooms are comfortable, and the area is stunningly gorgeous - I’ve been on some great walks along the Dart River and the other way onto Dartmoor.
