"This was terrific value for money and would happily stay again. While it's a good 15 mins or so up a hill from the station, for £40 or so, there's nothing at all to complain about- big rooms with cooking facilities, microwave and even a dishwasher should you need it, a lovely swimming pool and staff who were knowlegable and extremely helpful; particularly Guaytan , who couldn't have been more efficient and personable. All in all, very good."

"Wonderful hosts, couldn’t have been more accommodating. Great room, great location, despite the heat we managed to stay cool, had use of the pool. Would recommend to stay here if you are ever in the area."

"Room was quite small but very well equiped, everything worked and there was a bottle of chilled water in the fridge which was very much appreciated. Pool looked nice (didn't use it but several people did), not much in the way of a garden, small but well stocked bar. Restauarant was superb, really enjoyed our meal. Breakfast was very good, plenty of selection and good coffee from the machine. Hotel was very easy to find."

"Another year in a row we have booked this hotel, as last stop for our summer holiday. It is always a pleasure staying here: clean and nice rooms, friendly staff, a pool and a restaurant with lots of lovely things on the menu.
Recommended by family of 4."

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our rooms were spotlessly clean and comfortable with beautiful views.
The breakfast was charged extra and there was plenty of cereal, bread, cheese, meats, fruits and yoghurts etc. It is over 4 km from Carcassone and buses are infrequent but there is plenty of parking if you take a car.

This property is like the Jewel in the Crown!!
Firstly, don't be put off by the small number of excellent reviews as it has only opened this year. The hosts, Katy and Olivier, were both working in England for many years at a high quality and popular hotel in the Yorkshire Dales. Katy's family owned this Yorkshire hotel and Olivier was the head chef. When the family sold the Hotel, Katy & Olivier returned to his native France and then the Maison du canal du midi was born. It's a beautiful old...

BJ and Iris were the perfect hosts. Nothing was too much trouble. The setting was great with wonderful views and a stones throw from Carcassonne city. Breakfast was wonderful with home made jams.
BJ was also very kind to re freeze our ice packs for the onward journey. We will definitely be back.

We initially had problems finding it due to our Satnav but it's so well located near Carrefour and the main road to the walled city. Excellent value for money.

Absolutely fantastic 2-day stay in the Royal Suite at Le Château de La Seigne. It’s only a 10-minute drive from Carcassonne, and Ubers had no trouble picking us up right at the gate quickly.
The château itself is stunning and beautifully restored, packed with character and cool features like vintage restored cars in the entrance garage, a working old-school jukebox near the hall and a characterful staircase up to the upper rooms.

Not in an ideal area if you do not have a car but even then was easy enough using the bus. Exceptionally helpful staff and clean room, exceeds expectations for the cost

The rooms are extremely comfortable and the hosts were very helpful and very accommodating. They provide dinner on request and the food was superb. Breakfast also excellent. We also took advantage of the opportunity to have a massage. All in all an enjoyable and relaxing stay. Highly recommended.

Lovely hotel in an excellent location, just a short walk into the old town but also on a street with plenty of amenities of its own. Free parking nearby in the Place Barbicane which was easy to find and close to the hotel. The staff were really friendly and helpful, and breakfast was lovely, lots of choice and local products. The hotel garden was beautiful, and a cute if very small roof terrace too from which you can get a view of the city walls.

We stayed at the Hotel Campanile which is a 25-30 minute walk into the city or castle, the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and the rooms were clean and the breakfast provided was of a good european standard and free WiFi available. I would recommend this hotel as long as you are prepared for the daily walk. Amazing break to the fantastic medieval town of Carcassonne, a must place to visit with the town full of history, bars and great eating establishments - highly recommend the...

The best area to stay in Sainte-Eulalie is the village centre, which offers convenience and a pleasant setting.
The village centre is the heart of Sainte-Eulalie, characterised by its historic church, local shops, and a few traditional restaurants. It's a compact area, making it very walkable, and you'll find the main square, Place de l'Église, at its core. The surrounding streets are generally quiet and lined with traditional stone houses.
Couples often find this area ideal for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. The proximity to local eateries means an easy stroll for dinner, and the village's modest size encourages unhurried exploration. You can enjoy a morning coffee at a local café or browse the small shops at your leisure.
For families, staying in the village centre provides easy access to any essential amenities and a calm environment.
When is the best time to go to Sainte-Eulalie?
The best time to go to Sainte-Eulalie is during the late spring (May to June) and early autumn (September to October) when the weather is pleasant and the region is less crowded.
Late spring offers comfortable temperatures, great for outdoor activities like hiking and exploring the local markets without the peak summer heat. The countryside is lush and green, and many of the seasonal attractions begin to open. It's an excellent time for couples looking for a romantic getaway with mild weather and fewer tourists.
Early autumn provides warm, sunny days, ideal for enjoying the local vineyards and the harvest season. The temperatures are still very agreeable for sightseeing, and the changing colours of the landscape are quite beautiful.
