"We really wanted to stay at the cottage There is a glitch in the booking process with Vrbo.. The money was not taken from my account and the link site contacted us saying we had not paid.There was no way to do so on the Verb site and we could not get through to the link site despite spending 2 hours on the phone. We had to cancel. EXACTLY the same thing happened when we tried to rebook. On the Monday we finally got trough to the link site but the whole thing wasted hours of time and caused lots...

"Shepherd’s Retreat is in a wonderful location for visiting Hadrian’s Wall and the Roman forts of Vindolanda and Housesteads. The views from the house are beautiful and the house is small but comfortable and in a very peaceful location. The kitchen is well stocked and the owners leave some nice welcome items to greet you. The information given to you in advance is very detailed and helpful."
