"This hotel was excellent. It had a very nice, upscale, feel. The decor and furnishings were modern and beautiful. The building was peaceful and quiet despite being in the middle of a lively, convenient part of the city. The Bonus (Iceland’s affordable grocery store) right next door was a nice perk. Looking at prices for other hotels in Reykjavik, which is generally very expensive, I think the rates at the Hotel Von were an absolute steal for what they offer."

Days are incredibly long, with daylight stretching well into the evening, sometimes almost around the clock. Temperatures are at their mildest, typically ranging from 10°C to 15°C, making it comfortable for sightseeing. This period is particularly good for families looking to maximise their time outdoors. For those dreaming of seeing the Northern Lights, the best time to visit is during the colder, darker months, specifically from late September to late March. During this period, the nights are long and dark enough for the aurora borealis to be visible, provided there are clear skies and sufficient solar activity. February and March often offer a good balance, with slightly longer days than mid-winter but still excellent chances to see the lights. This season is also good for enjoying winter activities like ice caving and snowmobiling. Couples looking for a unique, romantic experience often find this time of year magical.
