Good rooms in a great location

The guesthouse is in a great location near multiple restaurants and an easy walk to most of the main sights in town. The staff were all very friendly. The breakfasts were good. There is a limited number of shared bathrooms, so you may need to wait 5-10 minutes for one especially during the morning and evening. While the room description may say there is a sink in the room, be aware not all rooms on the property have sinks and a sink may not be guaranteed. Our room itself was spacious and both got lots of light and had good blinds.

Typical guesthouse in a perfect location if you want to explore Reykjavik. Unfortunately no B&B option was available. All in all not cheap but location made up for this and we had a very enjoyable stay overall.

Good place for good price

Extremely nice host who was very helpful during an ice storm. Parking is off site but less than 1 block away. Right across the street from the Cathedral and walking distance to the rest of downtown and restaurants

Two night stay with family

I stayed in the garden-style apartment which is adjacent to the guesthouse with my husband, toddler, and parents for two nights. Edda, the friendly owner, contacted me in advance to make sure she would be available when we planned to arrive and check-in. The apartment had two bedrooms (3 twin beds and one queen) which was perfect for the five of us; a kitchen with dishwasher; washer/dryer (didn't use but it was available); and a separate living room and bathroom. It was clean, comfortable, and the location can't be beat. It is less than two blocks walk to the Hallgrimskirkja (the big church in the city) and the rest of the shops, restaurants, and sites. Everything is within walking distance. We had a car and street parking was free and plentiful. We didn't need to move the car for the two days we were there and it was only a block away. Would recommend the apartment to anyone and would stay here again!
