The warm and friendly staff was a definite plus during our stay. The highlight was a knock on the door to let us know the Northern lights were putting on a spectacular show - a perfect end to my birthday night. Proximity to great restaurants and town was a definite plus. Will be back at this one.

Great location and staff. The room was a great size and we loved having access to dishes, a cook top and sink which enabled us to have at least one meal a day in our room. It was a little loud with the sounds of doors opening and closing around us. Close to restaurants, shopping and easy access to busses including tour busses. Would recommend.

Great location. Room was a good size and the beds were comfortable. Privacy was an issue - several other guests at the hotel kept trying to look in our room while passing by (room was accessible from an outside walkway).

I can’t say enough nice things about this hotel. The front desk staff, Elia and Gabriella, went above and beyond for us. Gabriella offered my friend her SIM card when she was having trouble with her phone. The bartender, I can’t remember his name, made a drink for me based on what I like. It was the best drink I have ever tasted. The room was spectacular and located in walking distance to everything. You must book a stay there.

Second time staying and it did not disappoint. The staff was helpful and allowed us to store our luggage on our arrival and departure so that we could use the most of our time. Close to everything possible. Food, shopping and the waterfront are within minutes

Super cute rooms with boutique hotel feel and quite comfortable. Rain head in the shower had nice water pressure and tons of hot water. Not sure there was an ice machine on property, but we also didn’t ask. The two-burner stove, pots and pan, dishes, silverware, mini fridge and coffee maker were extremely nice to have! I highly recommend this property that was within two blocks of both bus stop #1 and #2 where most day tours pick up and drop off. Also it was very close to so many different restaurants and shopping!

We had a really good stay at the Kvosin Downtown Hotel. The staff were really helpful in advance of our stay (regarding our enquiries about parking and sofabed). The family room was spacious with a big bathroom and excellent underfloor heating. The breakfast was nice with a good range of choices. Superb location for exploring Reykjavik.

You can’t beat this downtown Reykjavik location—everything is walkable, from cafes to cocktail bars. Inside, the room was wonderfully spacious, and we loved the little extras like the shaving kit and hair brush waiting for us.

The location was very central as we did a lot of walking around the city and we felt very safe since we were right next to parliament. Other reviewers mentioned the church bells being bothersome, but they did not keep us awake at all- we are from an area with lots of train noise so we are used to it. The young lady at the front desk was very kind and helpful. She held our luggage before check in and also booked multiple taxis for us. The other young lady on night shift was also super kind and made espressos when we had an early flight home to catch. The housekeeping staff made up our rooms every single day. They didn’t seem to mind our rambunctious small boys with 10723 questions. We will definitely stay here again.

Very nice rooms and good location. Unfortunately the hotel only has street parking, and the breakfast area was closed during our stay (although the staff delivered an alternative breakfast from a local bakery).
