The hotel is very nice. I got a superior king room and is was quite large and spacious. This being a historic hotel, I was worried it would be old and run down. That was not the case at all! It’s obvious they’ve kept up the place and renovated as needed. It’s Art Deco style is very well preserved. The one draw back is the parking situation, or lack thereof. There is no parking at this hotel or valet service. The hotel is worth the stay, but plan ahead if you are going to have a car and need to park it. Parking is not easy to come by in downtown Reykjavik and can be expensive.
