The size and comfort of the beds. Nice bed linen. Staff very friendly and helpful, particularly the staff at breakfast. In the morning you need people who are of a happy personality to get you through the day. (well I do!)
To get breakfast (buffet style) included in the price is extremely good. Thank you.

Having stayed in many Village hotels, the Village at Swindon is definitely in the top few, the only issue I had was the disabled parking bays had cars and vans without badges, however the staff allowed me to park in a no parking zone. Very good nights sleep will defo stay again

Lovely dog friendly pub with rooms. Dog walk from car park into field behind. Very friendly staff and delicious food. Very clean, fresh bed linen. Great stop off. Would definitely recommend and will visit again.

We loved staying at De Vere in Cotswolds, it was very family friendly. The room was spacious and surroundings were beautiful and calm. I specifically liked the healthy choice of breakfast.
For use of swimming pool, you have to pay £10/ per person and book a lot for 60mins, but it was worth it, not too busy and there were children but not chaotic at all.
We definitely would like to come back!

Lovely room, fantastic food and friendly, helpful staff. Great location too- lovely walk round Coate Water before dinner. As a lone female I felt safe throughout my brief stay and will definitely return.

The best area to stay in Purton is within the village itself, particularly around the High Street and neighbouring residential roads.
This central area of Purton offers a good balance of local amenities and a peaceful village setting. The High Street is where you'll find the parish church, a couple of pubs, and a few local shops. It's a traditional English village layout, with older stone cottages and more modern homes mixed together, surrounded by open countryside.
For families, staying in Purton village provides a relaxed base with easy access to local parks and walking routes. You're close to the village amenities, and children can enjoy the open spaces nearby. There are also local sports facilities within easy reach.
Couples looking for a quiet getaway will appreciate the village's calm atmosphere. It's a good spot for leisurely walks in the surrounding fields and enjoying a meal at a local pub.
When is the best time to go to Purton?
The best time to visit Purton is during the summer months, from June to August, when the weather is at its most pleasant, or in late spring (April-May) and early autumn (September-October) for fewer crowds and still agreeable conditions.

Families travelling with children will find the summer holidays a convenient time to visit, with many local attractions operating extended hours.
Couples looking for a more tranquil experience might prefer late spring or early autumn. During these times, Purton and its surrounding villages are less busy, allowing for a more relaxed pace. The weather is generally mild, great for leisurely strolls through the village or visiting local pubs without the summer crowds.
