Beach is useless

Not friendly staff. Services are poor. Beach is dirty and smell bad everyday. If someone is going to enjoy beach, DO NOT go here as the reef is piled up all along the shore. Drinks are crapy! Reception desk is very unfriendly.

We clean our beach on a daily basis, nevertheless, by the laws of the Dominican Republic, we cannot remove the algaes on the water. We have been to this resort in the past and it is wonderful! The staff are very pleasant and extremely helpful. The rooms are beautiful, extremely clean, and well-maintained. The difference this time was the seaweed on the beach. We were unable to get into the water due to the tremendous amount of seaweed. There were dump truck hauling away the seaweed the entire 4 days that we were there, and the bad odor came in waves. This made the beach experience less than desired. We spent most of our time at the pool which is lovely, but not why we go to PC. Although the resort is amazing, I would not go there again in June, and would find out how long the seaweed lasts in the summer. I will continue to go there in the winter as there is little to no seaweed then.

The beach is not accessible due to huge amounts of seaweed. It should be noted that for all intents and purposes the Beaches are closed to swimming. Plus the smell is horrible. Melia choose to only try to keep one beach accessible for The Level at Melia. No effort was made at Paradisus.

Beach

Beach was very dirty. Lots of seaweed. Wasn’t cleaned at all. Impossible to swim. Had to walk 10-15 min on the beach to another hotel because their beach was cleaner and had a net or barrier to keep seaweed away from the shore. Other wise the hotel was nice food was good.

Resort staff was absolutely fantastic, everyone was so helpful. Our butler Jeurie was awesome setting up our dinners every night and just the daily contact to see if needed anything.

The resort was beautiful, the staff was courteous, friendly and helpful in every way. The food was excellent! Everything met and far exceeded our expectations!

Completely over-rated, it is not a 5* resort. The buffet food was better than the lousy restaurants. Over-priced and they are pushing their Circle (time-share) on everyone. Seems like if you did not pay for the upgraded Royal or Reserve category you get mediocre service and noone cares about you. The beach is TERRIBLE disgusting seaweed that's not cleaned. Would never go here again there are way better places.
