Perfect beachside location

The hotel is perfectly situated on Playa bávaro. The lobby/bar areas are nicely appointed with inviting furnishings. However our room was a bit lackluster. For one the bathroom was not as immaculately clean as expected. The vanity cabinets had visible wear and water stains. The tub jets were not properly working and the decorative bed pillows had a musty odor. The pool was nice however the swimup bar did not offer food service. I have stayed at other paradisus properties and they offer food at the swimup bars and beachside ordering. This would have made our stay more comfortable and enjoyable. I also recommend that the hotel proprietars consider a greater variety of quality food options at the buffet and restaurants. overall the hotel is beautiful and in a prime location.

Nice Hotel with Excellent Staff but Not 5 Star

Pros: The customer service provided by our butler Francis Newton and the pool butler Martin Tineo. The common areas and the staff at the buffet.
Cons: The reservation process and the limited menus at the restaurants. The rooms in the Royal Service area. The food handling in the buffet, we got sick.
Location: We did not venture outside the hotel except to go the nearby mall. Town close by seemed nice.
We stayed at the Paradisus Palma Real from August 27th through September 3rd. The hotel's common areas and ocean view are beautiful. We paid for Royal Service and although we were close to the beach and the pool, the rooms are definitely in need of remodeling. The staff, with very few exceptions, were outstanding. Friendly, helpful and polite. Our butler, Francis Newton was absolutely outstanding. He checked on us all the time and took care of our dinner reservations and any issues we encountered. I don't think we would have enjoyed our stay as much as we did without Francis. He is a true asset to Paradisus Palma Real. Martin Tineo, who is the pool butler was also incredible. He took care of our spot on the beach and brought our drinks without us having to even ask. Loved him! There are issues with getting reservations even with a butler. I can't understand why this is such a huge problem this is the last thing you want to worry about on your vacation. We had dinner at the steak house. Total disaster. There were not enough waiters so we waited so long to be served that we had to leave without having dessert. The meals were hit and miss. Some of the steaks were tough, the side dishes were small and some were never brought to the table. We also had dinner at the Peruvian restaurant and it was a much better experience. The waiter was outstanding and brought us different appetizers to try. The entrees were delicious and he didn't have any issues customizing.

All on all very good expierence . As for an all inclusive would rate high . The individual restaraunt were excellent had activities in the pool , entertainment shows above average and some excellent . I would highly recommend the Paradisus for a stay in the Dominican Republic

Pros: All food is close to each other
Cons: junior suite. Can see into the bathroom yes it is family but really
Location: did not do anything outside the resort
It was summer and the humidity was high. A few more fans would have been nice.

BEAUTIFUL HOTEL ON THE BEACH

Pros: THE VIEW WAS AMAZING...THE GROUNDS WERE WELL KEPT AND BEAUTIFUL.
Cons: THE STAFF NEED TO BE MORE VERSED IN ENGLISH AND MORE ATTENTIVE. IMPROVEMENT TO SOME RESTURANTS NEEDS TO BE DONE ESPECIALLY REGULAR EXTERMINATION.
THE HOTEL'S VIEW WAS BEAUTIFUL. I LOVED IT. THE HOTEL STAFF WAS FRIENDLY UPON ARRIVAL, HOWEVER WHEN WE GOT TO THE DINING AREA SOME STAFF MEMBERS WERE A BIT UNFRIENDLY AND TO MAKE MATTERS WORSE WE DIDN'T SPEAK THEIR LANGUAGE SO THEY DIDN'T REALLY STICK AROUND MUCH. IT GOT A LITTLE BETTER AFTER WE COMPLAINED. OVERALL IT WAS A BEAUTIFUL PLACE AND I ENJOYED AND LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT BESDES THE FEW MISHAPS. I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE...CAN'T WAIT TO GO BACK!!!!

I spent 4 relaxing and wonderful days in this hotel. The food was amazing and staff were all the time very helpful and nice. The room was always prepare for me and they were attent ti your minimal necesity. I woukd like to return next year with my friends.

Pros: Bed, AC, buffet food excellent
Cons: The check in and check out time
Over all a very good experience. The rooms were clean. The staff very friendly. The beds were very comfortable and the Air condition was working very good. The buffet food was better than the restaurant. the only problem was the busy days, Fridays and Saturdays when everyone is doing check in. Those day I don't think they have enough staff. The minibar fridge was empty so make sure you ask for things the first day.
