"The hotel is in a perfect location for getting around. And transport links are good. As lone female in a place i had not bern to before i felt safe walking around. My room was on the 4th floor and the first thing that struck me when I stepped out of the lift was how dark it was. Luckily my room was at the end of the corridor next to an external window so it was light directly outside my room but to and from the lift was dark. When the lift opened on other floors. I was struck by how bright and light the other floors were compared to the 4th floor. The room was clean but it is a bit dated. Bed was comfortable and clean. There is no draws for clothes storage, only hanging space. The thing that did annoy me was the shower . The head needs cleaning as the water flow is slow. Used the restaurant twice and both times food was good and the staff were friendly polite and helpful . Food also reasonable priced. I would recommend."

Frequently asked questions

Which area of Priston is best to stay in for cheap hotels?
For budget-conscious solo travellers visiting Priston, focusing your accommodation search on the outskirts of the village or in nearby towns like Radstock or Midsomer Norton will generally yield the cheapest hotel options. Priston itself is a small, charming village with limited accommodation, meaning prices can be higher due to exclusivity.Solo travellers looking for value will often find more affordable guesthouses, bed and breakfasts, or smaller hotels in these neighbouring areas. Radstock and Midsomer Norton are both just a short bus or car journey from Priston, offering convenient access without the premium price tag. These towns also provide a wider range of local eateries and shops, which can further help keep daily expenses down.Alternatively, consider staying slightly further afield in the city of Bath. While Bath itself can be more expensive, it has a much broader selection of budget hotels and hostels, especially around the city centre or near the main train station.

For solo travellers, this period can offer a more tranquil experience, allowing for peaceful walks through the village and surrounding areas without the hustle and bustle of peak tourist times.
What free activities should we do in Priston?
Priston offers several delightful free activities for budget-conscious travellers, primarily focusing on its charming rural setting and historical appeal. For solo travellers and couples, exploring the village on foot is a wonderful way to soak in its character. The 12th-century St Luke and St Andrew's Church, with its intricate architecture, is also free to enter and offers a glimpse into local heritage.Nature lovers can take advantage of the numerous public footpaths and bridleways surrounding Priston. These trails offer scenic walks through rolling countryside, past working farms, and provide stunning views of the Chew Valley. A popular route is the public footpath that leads towards the neighbouring village of Newton St Loe, offering a pleasant stroll with varied landscapes.
