"Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our stay at Picturesque on Passage was wonderful. Views were once-in-a-lifetime. An little far away, so difficult without a rental car, but we managed. Note, there is no wifi. Which was tricky for those of us traveling internationally. Our main concern was the actual Hometime Whitsunday's management. Firstly, their system experienced a data breach and for about a month, I started receiving numerous phishing from their email, telling me to re-enter my booking details and credit card details. Which thankfully I didn't do. I let me know what I was experiencing before they acknowledged it. So felt that was pretty bad.And then, since check out nearly three weeks later, I am getting messages welcoming me to the home, and messages saying "tomorrow is checkout" etc. So the system they are using to totally messed up.Check in was a little messy too, being told to head to the property, and we will send you the message for the lock box on the way, but then never actually receiving it. There was a suggestion we would be able to check in early, but were not actually able to."

"Fantastic location, with beautiful bush walks to neighbouring bays and access to reefs by tour. Only one restaurant on site but the food was delicious and decent prices for an island resort. You are in the forest so you might encounter insects and small spiders in the room. Wallabies living in and around the resort, amazing to see!"

"Nice 4 night stay. Room was comfortable-no tv reception but a good on demand movie selection for relaxing in the evening. Food was good -pizzas and the Christmas is July buffet especially. Breakfast by the reef each morning was enjoyable. We saw lots of wildlife -whales, dolphins and even a sea turtle. There were lots of kids (school holidays)."

"This resort is brilliant for relaxing. Only 20 adults on site at any time, which provides a great ambience and chilled vibe. The transfers are magical - we chose the helicopter in, and the boat out. The food was terrific and the accommodation very good with great views. The resort is highly recommended!"

"he house was really nice, with a great pool, views, and surroundings. Our complaint was that we felt the house was not represented correctly. It worked out for us since we were all adults, but I’m not sure it would suit a family. It is listed as a four-bedroom house, but in fact, it is a two-bedroom house with a detached building that has a further two bedrooms and a bathroom included. There are 19 large outdoor steps down to these rooms, and unfortunately, it was raining most nights, so we got quite wet going to bed. These two downstairs bedrooms are actually one room separated by two steps up and no door, so they are not really two rooms and lack privacy. The back bedroom is quite pokey and claustrophobic. The standard of this downstairs space is not in keeping with the house itself.There was only one hairdryer provided for three bathrooms, the mugs and glasses didn’t match, and there could have been more crockery and cutlery provided. When paying this much for a property, this feels a bit cheap.There are also safety concerns if you had children with you, the porch around the pool is quite tall with no barrier and a drop straight onto concrete below. I don’t know if it is council compliant but it’s a long way to fall on concrete. Overall, while we appreciated the charm of the house and the stunning views, clearer communication about the property’s layout and improvements in safety and amenities would greatly enhance the experience for future guests."

"qualia is one of the most beautiful properties we have visited. The setting, architecture, views, and atmosphere truly feel special and uniquely Australian. Our arrival experience was excellent. Noemi provided a warm airport pickup, smooth check-in, and a thoughtful overview of the property and room. The accommodations themselves were stunning. We also had an incredible “Best of Both Worlds” tour with Pedro, who was engaging, knowledgeable, and passionate about the island. It was one of the highlights of the trip. The main challenge during the first 24 hours was inconsistency in service attentiveness. At times, particularly at the pool and during our first dinner at Long Pavilion, service felt less proactive than expected for a property at this level. Drink refills, reservation follow-up, and simple check-ins occasionally required prompting rather than feeling naturally anticipated. What truly elevated the experience was the response from leadership. Rebecca, the General Manager, was exceptional: thoughtful, responsive, attentive, and genuinely interested in feedback. Her professionalism and accountability significantly improved the remainder of our stay. Beach Club dinner was another standout, with warm staff, relaxed pacing, and beautifully prepared food and cocktails. Overall, qualia delivers an extraordinary setting and many memorable moments. While there were some early service inconsistencies, the property’s beauty, excursions, dining, and strong leadership respon"
