The room, shared spaces and breakfast room were beautiful, the staff were fantastic and answered every question, including booking taxis for us, and the breakfast was delicious. I couldn't recommend this place more highly.

A great hotel with the usual aspect of the old theatre and cinema still there.
The hotel is also perfectly positioned for strolls into the town and to the sea .
Great views from the terrace.
A good selection at breakfast

Absolutely amazing stay! I could not recommend it more! Francesco was always so helpful and attentive, from after we booked until the moment we left we always felt looked after. Such a beautiful hotel in a perfect location! If we ever find ourselves back again we will be staying here

After reading reviews booked a two night stay & was very pleased that we did.
Very welcoming attentive staff. Lovely modernised period building, in a perfect position to explore the old town.
Excellent generous breakfast.

Loved this hotel - greeted by friendly staff and offered a drink as soon as we arrived which was very welcome. Rooms totally unique. Lovely sitting area up on top patio to relax after a long day - staff kindly made us a pot of tea when our tea bags ran out with bone china tea cups!! A drink on the main patio (which was where you could have breakfast too) overlooking the sea under vines was a great way to start the evening where we met some lovely people each evening. Fantastic place - my favourite out of the four we stayed at in Sicily. The owners and staff are very warm and helpful - exceptionally so. The location is great - right in the middle of the restaurant and cafe area of Ortygia, with all key sights within easy walking distance. Depsite having a cafe in the same street, with windows closed it wasn't noisy at night (I'm a light sleeper - it was fine). They have commissioned a mural painter based in Rome to paint the ceilings of the rooms - ours was...

Booked on the strength of other reviews - and they weren’t wrong. B&B Porta Marina is a brilliant place to stay for exploring Ortigia, with a warm welcome from an excellent host who gave us invaluable & interesting information for our trip. Great breakfast too; recommended.

Very helful and friendly staff, good location with a lovely sea view room. Breakfast is taken in the partner hotel opposite, which was nice. Parking is available in the nearby car park (very difficult to enter)

Clean and comfortable. Nice welcome and spacious room. Breakfast is a little quirky as it’s all served à la carte. But there’s a good selection of items. I used the valet parking which took a long time to arrive when I was checking in but for check out the car was ready early. A nice stay. Would stay again.

We had a lovely one bedroom apartment with private terrace as our home for three nights. The staff are amazing and so helpful from booking taxis, making sure we were well stoked with coffee and even bringing up a delicious lunch to our room when we arrived a bit frazzled from the airport.
It’s an amazing location a bit deeper into Ortigia so there’s a real locals feel to it.

Beautiful hotel, breakfast spread was brilliant and room extremely clean. Staff were all so lovely and attentive. We had a great first afternoon at the pool bar and were very well looked after by a young man who went above and beyond - sorry we did not catch his name.

Elsa d’Ortigia is a superb place to stay, full of character, and in the centre of historic Ortigia island. Above all the owners and staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. Breakfast is served in a communal dining area so there’s an opportunity to chat to the other guests. There’s also a charming outside seating area. I’m pretty sure we’ll be back!

Very friendly and welcoming staff; good breakfast.
Two lovely outdoor areas (although they would be lovelier if people weren't allowed to smoke).
Excellent location on Ortigia, a short walk to sights and restaurants.
