"Good bijou feel and so well placed, with its own car park very close to Gunwharf Quays. Friendly staff and great breakfast. Would definitely go again. "
"Although we were in one of the anexes, this hotel worked out well.
Staff were always smiling and laughing with us.
Dinning options with indoor, conservatory, outdoor covered and outdoor gave all the choices you could want . "

"Excellent location for the Victorious Festival, right by the station and easy to walk to the festival. Bar open late too which was brilliant for us all. "
"Lovely hotel spread across a number of buildings near the seafront. Easily walkable to the beach. The rooms were lovely and the food in the restaurant was excellent "
"Room was not your bog standard decor but was unique, bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was large with an excrllet shower.
The staff were polite and would acknowledge you even if you were just passing.
Kim who was on reception when we arrived was a standard bearer for the hotel group, she was very welcoming and went above and beyond when we required some direction assistance."
"Great location for the train station.
Cheap as chips room but needs a deep clean.
Shower and all grout in bathroom has mildew, I didnt use the shower because of it.
Nice touch with a few bottles of water and some tea/coffee making facilities as well as an information foldr of local area and eateries.
The room smelled of marajuana all night. Not sure if the room below was smoking or if it was coming from outside.
The bed really needs a new mattress, very cheap and spongy and the pillows are...

Royal Maritime Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"I stayed at the royal maritimime hotel for 2 nights and the room was very comfortable, the bathroom was lovely and big and there was daily housekeeping. Only downside is I noticed after the housekeeping had been, in the shower the small bottle of shower gel was still on the floor in the shower so I don't think the shower had got done but that is my only criticism.
I had breakfast on my first day and there was good choice and it was nice and hot , I choose to have breakfast in town on my 2nd day as I had gone for room only and if you wanted to add breakfast on it's £15.95 if you add it at time of booking it's alot cheaper.
I used the bar once on my visit and the lady in the bar was very friendly.
The lady's on reception was also very friendly but I had a lovely chat with the lady in the bar
I would definitely stay here again next time I'm in Portsmouth as it's only a short walk from the shopping centre and bars restaurants and train station . I walked back on my own from the cinema after midnight on my first night and felt very safe."
"Steve was really friendly and helped us find a nice place for dinner and breakfast.
Kindly sorted a parking space on the property as I think it was a quiet night. But there’s also a huge car park on the other side of the building.
More to do at the property than we realised. The communal area is brilliant. Don’t waste your money in the arcades as there’s loads to do at the hotel: pool, air hockey, table tennis, old school games table (pac man etc), sound system to choose your own music.
Also use of a fairly big kitchen so you could quite easily make dinner or breakfast at the property.
The rooms were really nice. Old Victorian seaside property but renovated and modernised tastefully with some lovely furnishings, cushions, chandelier etc.
So pleased we chose this over the holiday inn. We would 100% stay again and wish we’d checked in earlier to have more time to check out the spa area. "
"Great location, just by the seafront in Southsea. Very close to the eclectic Southsea centre with it's many restaurants & bars. A great place to stay to explore the wider area.
Right on the bus route as well so very easy access to Gunwharf Quay & the old naval museum with the Mary Rose, which is a must visit if you haven't done it already. If you do stay at the hotel there was a 20% naval museum discount for us curtesy of the Queens hotel."
"An absolutely perfect place to stay! Don't waste time looking anywhere else, it's beautiful here and we honestly hope to stay here again. We had the harbour view room and it's worth staying here for that alone! The staff were really lovely, the breakfast was great and the location is incredible. Nothing bad to say really, definitely my new favourite place! "
