"Gorgeous old hotel in a fabulous location, central Shrewsbury. Parking only £5 per day. Comfy bed, great shower. Rooms a little tired but would definitely stay at The Lion again!"

"The staff were very friendly and helpful,but this is the only plus for the Hotel, the room was very tired and dated,the room below housed a number of males who talked all night and into the early hours,so much so i had to use ear plugs to try and sleep,the reception is to the side of the building as the front entrances are no longer used,the car park looks like a disused carpark,i didnt have the breakfast,as i didnt want to stay any longer than needed"

"Nice hotel just needs ripped wallpaper replaced ,hallways looked shabby.Room just ok, no wardrobe just a hook on a very squeaky bathroom door.Wasnt told our room key also unlocked main front door so was locked out for 10 minutes at 11.45pm.Staff nice & breakfast very tasty .Gardens also nice"
