"This was a spacious, comfortable and unique property in a good location. It was immaculately clean. There is a Lawson store next door and a number of good restaurants nearby. It is in walking distance to the Heian Shrine and Nanzenji Temple. Bus stops are just outside and subway stations are very close. The hotel is on a busy street, but the room is well insulated and very quiet. It has a washing machine that is supposed to also function as a dryer, but we didn’t have much luck with the dryer...

"Mimaru is an excellent place to stay in Kyoto. It is only three subway stops from Kyoto Stdtion and it is in a very quiet area. It has exceptional amenities and our room was impeccably clean and very comfortable. There is a Family Mart about 30m from the front entrance. Highly recommended."

"We booked the Pokémon room. It was a surprise for my 3 kids and they were over the moon. They loved the bunk beds, the Pokémon decor, plushy and dishes. It was a nice reprieve from the tight hotel rooms. We stayed in most evenings because it was so comfortable. The staffs were helpful and nice. There’s a laundry facility and many convenient stores close by. The only negative points for me personally were: lack of a view (windows were frosted) and the ventilation system was poor. "Very nice hotel! It was so clean and new, and was just great. It was very nice to have a kitchenette and washer/dryer. Also a pretty good location, 10 mins walk to popular gion area. Only complaint would be that there was no front desk staff, it was virtual, so when we put in a request for an extra pillow, it took 3 hours for them to respond only for them to say they couldn't give us an extra pillow."

"We had a larger room including a kitchenette, nice. The local staff are extraordinary. It’s easy to get around Kyoto by bus and Metro from the location with Google maps and an IC card such as pasmo. We enjoyed the sauna spa."
