Nice hotel lovely views large rooms.

Pros: everything.
Cons: our only down side was one of the lifts was out of order but that was just one of those things that can't be helped.
Location: we used the tram down to the beach and really enjoyed watching all the different boats on the water from pirate ships to working fishing boats.
ours was only a short stay but we really enjoyed our time the hotel was in a great place near to the beach and the shops.

Cons: need to have time went stop sever food
no heat in room and should not get anyone for three hour was not happy but they get us atherroom with was nice but no centre heat but was a heater,we try to order food but was told they are service food.went ask why muse till on talbe they say we are to busy to take for table

Poor rundown hotel

Paid for a room with a sea view tried give us a cupboard had to argue to get what I paid for.suppose to be full English breakfast but no fried eggs when asked about I was told I would hat to upgrade to premiere to get one an extra £10 each a day .happy hour 12 to 6pm £ 2.20 a pint unless you buy 2 half pints then £3.30 ,£1.10 extra for having wash an extra glass. Entertainment terrible.avoid this hotel

Grand hotel don't think so . They had us booked for room only but had confirmation sea view stuck us in a corner room with a side view, room small , chair wobbly when I sat on it I fell back on floor , skirting boards thick of dust, never went for breakfast after first day wasn't impressed . £80 a night for that disgusting.

Pros: Evening entertainment .
Cons: The breakfast.
Location: Aqua Adventure water park is a good day out for the family, plenty of resturant,s in the town etc.
I go to the grand about 5 time's a year , which say's it all really !

The shower was dirty with limescale the floor had black dirt on. Also breakfast not much availability for cereal and juice glasses were dirty

Grand Hotel

Pros: Central and close to the beach.
Cons: Modernize the room
We stayed there 5 days and would have liker to change room as there was no daylight but the hotel was too full.

We had a very disappointing stay in this "hotel," service was very poor and staff, apart from Richard in the harbour restaurant,couldn't care less about providing good customer service. room was tiny and I have several bruises on my legs from trying to manoeuvre round the bedroom! would never stay here again. Entertainment resembled something from a 1970s holiday canp! One of the bars closed at nine o'clock resulting in a lengthy queue for drinks at the other bar. Breakfast was tasteless and the only request we made to have decaff coffee or tea in our room wasn't met. A long check in resulted in a parking fine of £25. Just what we needed after travelling five hours from Scotland. Lifts were difficult to access so we didn't and walked to the fifth floor every time where we met other guests on the stairs who were extremely unhappy about the lift situation. We heard various complaints over our stay and not one of them was responded to appropriately by staff. It's such a shame, this could be a "grand" hotel in the right hands with the right staff. extremely disappointed and will never return.

Cons: EVERTHING
CHECK IN TOOK AGES, STAFF WERE DISORGANISED. THE HOTEL IS RUN DOWN AND NEEDS A MASSIVE REFURB. CARPETS ARE DIRTY AND WORN. OUTSIDE TERRACE AREA WAS DISGUSTING WITH FOOD AND RUBBISH ON THE FLOOR WITH SEAGULLS PICKING AT IT ALL. THE ROOM WAS OLD FASHIONED BUT CLEAN. BREAKFAST WAS POOR WITH LIMITED SELECTION.
