"I thought this was a fabulous, up market hotel. The rooms were fabulous, the pool gorgeous in fact everything was great. The only thing that spoiled my stay was the breakfast. The breakfast menu was extensive, but only for cooked breakfast. I don't eat cooked breakfast. I asked for cereal and toast. I was given a small box of corn flakes (no choice) 2 slices of toast and a mini jar of marmalade for us both. My partner had a cooked breakfast and therefore no cereal. There is a definite need for a continental breakfast. Otherwise amazing."

"Fantastic hotel a couple of miles out of Pickering. Very friendly host and staff, I couldn't fault it, other than there was no draught ale due to supply problems. The food both at breakfast and dinner was excellent."

"One of my favourite places to stay that possibly has a ghost ! Five minutes walk from the bs and train station and the beer is kept just right Large rooms at a reasonable price, but could do with a portable fan for hot weather and the bedside lamps in room 1 did not work Lively Karaoke on a Friday evening and room I was given I could people watch . Pice it can’t be beaten and I’d rate it 9 out of 10 as the hallway toilet could do with redecorating "

What is most noteworthy is the very professional, well trained and delightful staff in both the hotel and the restaurant! Would stay at Sandburn Hall again and would recommend it to a friend. "

"Comfortable room with everything we needed. Located in a quiet part of town and ideally located for travelling further afield in what is a beautiful area. Hosts were absolutely lovely and couldn't have been more helpful."
