"Quirky decor, comfortable room with great facilities. Breakfast was excellent, great choice, cooked to order and filled us up all day! Had sandwiches off lunch menu which were great value for money. Also ate in the restaurant at night, brilliant service and superb food. Hotel very convenient for walking to beach. Would highly recommend walking along the valley, lovely scenery. Just one small negative, our room overlooked hotel carpark and small narrow lane. The lane was used for deliveries and workmen so was a bit noisy after 7am each morning if windows were open. Only a small negative, overall we had a great stay."

"Room was clean, but noisy. We noticed a humming sound. This prevented us from having a good nights sleep as it was constant during the night. We complained and moved room for our second night. The day we arrived we were hiking and our clothes were soaking wet. It was a cold evening and we complained the following morning as there was no heating and were unable to dry our clothes. We were cold in bed and there were no extra blankets. We complained and were told the hotels heating system was turned off. Breakfast was adequate, although I had the smallest hash brown ever (only one) Didn’t receive any the following day. Parking was poor. Don’t think I would stay here again considering the cost of the stay."

"Hotel was modern and very clean throughout. The staff were friendly and very helpful in both the hotel and Tykes restaurant. Situated in a rural area, we found the hotel setting quiet and we would definitely stay again."

"Very welcoming reception, lovely staff. Room very clean and all essentials there. Hotel itself clean, spaces, lovely surroundings. Breakfast was good, buffet with typical English breakfast, also healthy breakfast available, toaster and white/brown bread, no rolls. Maybe not for some, but Important for me, not variety of morning coffee (disappointing) just instant coffee + milk. In the evening restaurant serves a great meals, drinks and variety of coffee! That means the proper coffee machine is in the kitchen but not using for breakfast. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Overall highly recommended I would stay there again."
