"It was amazing. If you're looking for an authentic sicilian country side experience then this is it. The property is rustic but beautifully maintained. The room was large and had aircon. The breakfast was lovely. The gardens are divine and the pool area was great. Miss Anna was extremely helpful and so lovely. I wish we had stayed longer! It isnt near the beach, so if thats what you want then its not for you. Its up in the hills away from anywhere. Its so peaceful. 10/10"

Resort La battigia Beach And Spa

8/10 Good

"Clean rooms, friendly staff and ok breakfast. It is not very walkable outside of the hotel so if you like walking you need to take the cab somewhere and walk. Nice feature with the shuttle to the beach."

Hotel Punta Nord - Est

10/10 Excellent

"A charming hotel close to the town centre with friendly, helpful staff. All areas were kept scrupulously clean and the breakfast buffet was fabulous, including a magnificent choice of homemade cakes. The pool bar had a good choice of food too. The local discount scheme whereby showing your room key gives a 10% reduction at certain restaurants and attractions was a bonus. We were made to feel right at home and look forward to staying there again."

Resort Il Mulino

10/10 Excellent

"Really lovely, hotel. Very nice rooms, breakfast wasn’t the best, because when we went down both mornings, the hot food was all gone, or wasn’t out, And the other food didn’t seem all that fresh. So wasn’t able to have much. We also hired beach towels, but they were stained, so I feel like they need to get another company to do their laundry or just buy new towels. But the staff were very friendly and nice. We would stay here again. 😊"

Helios Hotel

8/10 Good

"Overall a nice property, with some opportunities. The building felt almost glamorous, really beautiful, the breakfast was outstanding, fresh with a variety of options. It’s in on what seemed like the Main Street which leads to the beach. On the downside there is no elevator so pack light, not like we did. The parking is not secure, the chain and lock do not stop anyone from accessing the area which is kind of hidden and not well lite. The lady working the front desk seemed to always be there and got us cutlery when we came back with pizza, thank you !! Glad we stayed there once but not sure I would return to be honest, the lack of an elevator and parking is a deal breaker."

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Napola?

The best area to stay in Napola is within the town centre itself, particularly around the main piazza, for a convenient and authentic experience.

Napola's town centre is relatively compact, making it easy to navigate on foot. The heart of the town is its main piazza, which often hosts local events and is surrounded by a few traditional eateries and shops. You'll find many of the buildings here are traditional Sicilian stone structures, offering a glimpse into local life.

For couples seeking a relaxed and authentic Sicilian escape, staying in the town centre is ideal. It provides easy access to the local amenities and allows you to experience the rhythms of a smaller Italian town, perhaps enjoying an evening stroll or a quiet meal at a local trattoria.

Travellers looking for a base to explore the surrounding region will also find the town centre convenient.

When is the best time to go to Napola?

The best times to visit Napola, Sicily, are during the shoulder seasons of May-June and September-October for pleasant weather and fewer crowds.

During these months, the temperatures are comfortably warm, making it ideal for exploring the town's historic centre and nearby archaeological sites without the intense heat of mid-summer. You'll find it easier to enjoy walks through the Corso Umberto I, Napola's main thoroughfare, and linger at outdoor cafes. This period also offers a good balance for those who want to visit the coast for a swim or relax by the sea without the bustling summer crowds.

For couples looking for a relaxed and romantic getaway, these shoulder seasons are particularly appealing. The weather is great for leisurely dinners al fresco, wine tasting tours in the surrounding countryside, or simply enjoying the tranquil pace of Sicilian life.
