Yufuin Ryokan Seikoen

Yufuin Ryokan Seikoen

10/10 Excellent
"We found this place the last minute after we decided to stay for overnight instead of making it a day-trip from Fukuoka. Absolute good decision! Everything is so good: room, staff, and the venue. Love it."

"Small ryokan in the hills above Yufuin. Great Onsen. We stayed in the traditional Japanese room and it was very comfortable. It had a private Onsen that was incredible. The staff were friendly and helpful, and despite us not being from Japan or able to speak much Japanese, we never felt out of place or unwelcome. The breakfast was a traditional Japanese breakfast, amazing to see as well as eat. We only stayed 3 nights, but it was the most relaxing time of our 3 day visit."

"I can’t say enough good things about this place. It was relaxing and staff were friendly and welcoming. When I departed on April 9, I realized that I had forgotten my watch at the hotel. Upon calling the hotel, the front desk gentleman drove his motorbike to quickly return it to me at the station. I am beyond thankful for his hospitality and am very appreciative of his kind and quick response. He made our trip extra special."

"self online check in was very simple and efficient. the house was spectacularly clean and in a very quiet area; perfect for a weekend getaway however, the hotspring was not available and the sauna was only until 22:00 there was no curtains so the rooms were all bright when the sun started rising. kitchen was fully equipped. we were a family of 6; 4 adults and 2kids. but none of the equipments were for 6ppl; we found 5 pairs of slippers and 5 toothbrush only. HOTEL MODA

HOTEL MODA

10/10 Excellent
"What Hotel Moda lacks in aesthetic charm found in traditional Japanese ryokan, it more than makes up for in modern amenities, comfort, and level of service. The private onsen is clean and spacious and my wife and I really liked their curation of toiletries and accessories - I was particularly taken by the pajamas the hotel prepared. The staff was incredibly considerate and even generously provided free transportation to/from the town center (a cab from Yufuin station would otherwise cost about ¥1,000). I would definitely stay at Hotel Moda again!"
