It was a very relaxing weekend thanks to the staff and the cats. The establishment is cash only and you pay ¥1,000 yen per day for cat cafe access. Each morning your cat treats are restocked and you are left with a little snack as well to enjoy while playing with the cats. I will admit, the road to the hotel is a little rough, but that is bo flaw to the establishment. The staff are very kind, attentive, and accomodating. The room was also spacious and beautiful. The cats are cute and well taken care of, the baths are great and the room is pleasant. There is one caveat that needs to be mentioned: This is a cat-\*themed\* ryokan centered around the cats in the cat cafe that it hosts. The cafe is located inside the ryokan but acts as a separate entity and requires separate payment onsite.
